  2. Our CR-1 was received by GUZ on July 14th and they sent for the name check on July 30th (still pending) Our K3 wae received by GUZ on August 18th and today they mailed my wife the P3 Do we still go ahead and complete the P3? It was my understanding that the CR-1 would overide this process. Any help is appreiciated.
  3. Hang in there Carl. I pray God will bring all good things to you. I know that Ying is in contact with my wife on 001 and anything we can do to help just let us know. Trevor
  4. DOS says namecheck still pending. Its been over a month and I am wondering if I should start to worry?
  5. CONGRATS Carl. Your right behind us. Our case was entered into the GUZ seceret system on July 30th and now we are waiting for the completion of the namecheck
  6. I found this to be interesting. ---------------------------- I understand what you are going thru and will help in anyway I can. I gained so much knowledge of this namecheck procedure because of what we went thru. The phone number to call is (202) 324-3625 FBI Security NameCheck. You will need to leave your name and phone number so they can call you back within 24 hours. I would try to leave a cell phone if possible so you do not miss the call. You will need to give t hem the information on your fiance, date of birth, full name, etc. They are very cooperative in this process. The entire problem with the namecheck lies in the entering of information. FBI has issued very STRICT guidelines on how the information can be entered. For some reason, the NVC/Embassy/DOS personnel have not learned these standards yet. When it is done incorrectly then it goes to a rejection file that DOS is suppose to enter manually (once a month is what they state) but seems that either it doesn't get done or they re-enter incorrectly yet again. I have even seen some cases where the approval was issued by FBI but for whatever reasons DOS/NVC/Embassy did not receive the approval and kept requesting the namecheck. The key to that scenario is that once the approval is issued, the FBI system rejects the name for the next 12 months..............so the applicant is stuck as pending for another 11 months. (Approvals are only issued once within a 12 month period.) The FBI does notify DOS/Embassy/NVC that the namecheck was rejected but again DOS/Embassy/NVC does nothing about it. These are the "black holes" of the namecheck process. Of course, the entire time you are calling and emailing DOS/NVC/Embassy and they are telling you it is pending -- which makes this an extremely frustrating task and why I told you to stay on top of it from the get go. The letter that the FBI issues you is invaluable. Either they state the namecheck was processed on such and such date or that they never received the request. If this happens contact me via PM and I will tell you how to get around that one. I actually had a namecheck group on yahoo to fight this stupidity. Re: Name/security check confusion (again) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heba, If your fiancee/spouse is from one of the "targetted" countries, such as Cuba, China, Russia, or one of the Middle Eastern countries, the name check can get "lost". Specifically it is the Visa Condor check which is quite a different breed than the other namechecks. It may begin at the NVC or at the consulate -- depends on the procedures for the consulate. Some consulates prefer that NVC do the namecheck while others will only do the namecheck once the interview has been conducted. The alien name is submitted electronically to the FBI. The FBI does the namecheck then submits the results to DOS. DOS then submits the results to the embassy (but does not update their system). Embassy inputs the results which then update the DOS databases. There have been numerous cases where the results were in effect lost between DOS and Embassy. The embassy then resubmits the name again, the computer kicks the name to a log file, which is suppose to be reviewed manually by DOS. However, I have not heard of any successful stories on DOS reviewing the log file. The errors are normally caught because people get tired of waiting and contact the FBI Namecheck Divisioin personally and find out that their namecheck was completed 4, 5, or 6 months previously -- this is also known as the blackhole. Sometimes the embassy staff or NVC submit the name incorrectly. Same thing happens. The name goes to a log file, which is suppose to be reviewed and resubmitted by DOS, but from my personal knowledge this has not happened -- it creates a blackhole again. Such was the case with Richard III. The good news is if your husband is not from one of these countries then you have nothing to worry about. If he is from one of the countries, then stay on top of it. Ask the consulate when the Visa Condor is done. Allow 4 weeks for FBI to process then call FBI to find out where they are in the process. The visa condor is normally finished within 30 days.
  7. CONGRATS. One step closer. Namecheck then P4 and interview.
  8. CONGRATS have a wonderful and happy life.
  9. As my wife says (If she agreed with me we would both be wrong)
  10. I am wondering if there is any kind of average timeline for a CR-1 between the time that GUZ asks for the namecheck and its completion and entry into the system at DOS ? Any help is appreciated.
  11. Log on to www.dhl-usa.com/tracking Go to the top and click TRACK. On the drop down menu click Track by reference. In the reference box enter I-730 then in the date box's below enter the shipping date search criteria. This will show you all of the visa applications that were shipped from the NVC in portsmouth NH for that date. Scroll down to Guangzhou to find the status of your shipment. However the date that the NVC says it was shipped is not usually the date that DHL picked it up. It is usually 1 or 2 days after the date that the NVC says it was shipped.
  12. You are welcome£¬ here is oo1£ºhttp://usa.bbs.net/bbs/01/index.html
  13. According to my wife who is the moderator on 001 there have been a mass of interviews scheduled for September. It seems that many of the MMs on 001 no longer post there interview dates as there have been some letters mailed to GZ that have arrived on the date of there interview trying to discredit them. This has stopped many of them from posting there timeline information. My wife has close contact with them not only through the posts but also via email and it seems that almost all of the P3s through April have been scheduled for September. I have attached a link showing just a sample of what has happened so far. GUZ KEEP THEM COMING. http://001family.001.bank.cn/timeline/view_interviews.asp
  14. I am a little confused regarding the second name check I have filed for a CR-1 and was told by DOS that the name check was requested by GZ on July 30th. Is this the second name check, as the NVC also completes a name check before the case is copleted and sent to GZ? Thanks
  15. 1255 is no longer a working number. You need to use 1225
  16. Hi Richard welcome back. Glad to herer the nightmare is finally over. Congratulations.
  17. You can not get the exact ship date from NVC. They will say it was sent to GUZ on a certain date, but what this means is that it was sent to the shipping dept on that date. It could be up to 3 days before it is actually picked up by DHL. Then any package that has a weight in excess of 2 KG (4.4 lbs) is subject to screening by Chinese customs and will end up in clearence delay.
  18. But none of those VJ guys are dealing with the GUZ
  19. After sending an inquiry to GUZ as to the status of our CR-1 I was surprised to receive a response in only 10 hours. Maybe they really do care (just joking) Anyway here is a copy of the response. Thanks for your email. After NVC notifies an applicant that they have shipped the petition to the Consulate, typically it takes 60 to 120 days for file/petition to be received and processed by post. This time period includes the time required to clear China's customs, security screening of the boxes when they are received by post, and then sorting and processing time for the Immigrant Visa Unit.
