  6. exactly my question. I will be in china for 3 or 4 months, sooo to be safe i guess i should have a co sponsor? i really don't want to have to come back to the states just to show i am working, as a contractor i can pick and choose my work during the year. mark
  7. i am trying to decide what is best for our cr1. When i submitted my 864 i was working. Now i am not and will return to China to stay with my wife until her visa. I have the assets to meet the requirements but no current job information. I made enough salary this year to exceed the poverty guidlines. Just wondering should i just update my 864 to show my assets or is it better to have a co sponsor? any comments or help greatly appreciated. mark

  19. hi carl, you did the right thing, because the agent cannot sign for her and she has to fill out the form and sign it. Also she has to fill out some items in Chinese, as the P4 will go to her address in China. Hope this helped mark
  20. hi Dean, welcome to CFL. I can't help you with the address maybe someone else doing a DCF (direct consular filing) can. The visa terms are confusing. When you file the 130 then you are filing for a CR1 (conditional residency). the 130 is sometimes called K3, but many of us have also filed a 129F after the 130 NOA1. there is plenty of help here, check out the links and resources section. The timeline for DCF is a lot less than going through the process here in the states. You can look at some of the other members timelines. Good Luck! BTW where in China are you. I will be going back to Shangrao Jiangxi to be with my wife the first week of aug. Mark
  21. we use yahoo and msn, and now skype which is a very good quality. We talk on the phone twice a day sometimes. I use firstphonecard 2 cents a minute and pinless, rechargable and speed dial. I have never had any problems with their phone service. Yes my wife wants to see the house with the webcam and now all over with my wireless laptop. She always tells me leave the mess i will do it when i am there. mark
  22. ah yes, packers, and brats!!!! I was born and raised there and Laopuo wants to be close to my family. And real estate is much less expensive there. Bought a nice duplex in my hometown, now i can get on the long list for packer season tickets. The lake is right across the street. And Roger and Luli are only 20 minutes away. Real Cheese is from wisconsin, california can't hold a candle to the cheese there! And i have always been a cheese head! Real estate agent told me that my wife does not have to sign for title on calif home. Mark
  23. Thanks John, i just passed it on to my realtor, i sure appreciate the help Mark
  24. no the title is just in my name, my relator called me and asked me about it, since he knew i had married in China. Mark
