  1. Victor-Phoenix I think pincity or onesuite may be you best choices. It really all depends on your situation. Pincity has some good call from home options. I do not have home phone, all mobile - but use pincity's overseas option when I travel. Either way I do not think you will go too wrong. If you are not into the analysis and decison making - just pick one and go for it. Getting the SO here is the real goal !!!
  2. Nothing like a nice roll in the hay. So barns are nice. I like the beach and sun, but sand is kind of yuckky
  3. Welcome to CFL This has been discussed here a few times. Another VOIP,is skype. Then there are the calling cards. The "calling cards" from Pincity and Onesuite seem to be popular. I use Pincity (www.pincity.com) 2.9 cents a minute and clear and relaible. Very easy to use, recharge online, provide tracking. Pincity retrieved called records almost one year old for me ( I was not smart enough to save them back then) If you google " China calling cards" you will find lots to investigate. The real cheap ones will not provide the quality, reliability or features that you want Feel free to email me if you like to discuss
  4. Hold on a minute ! Me thinks Trigg's reaction to picture of that well dressed sheep - removes any doubt of a sleep/sheep confusion. No doubt SO will not allow , even a well dressed sheep, in the house. If Trigg is sleep deprived - it must be from those late night trips to the barn. John - loved the story - I have been trying to control my thinking - Laopo does not like it when I think. I need a elephant or donkey to kick NSC - that would help me quit thinking. Might help the Cheetos stain ? I forgot, no thinking
  5. There is a not a whole lot of touching going on these days. The typical scenario appears to be - you get touched a day or so after the NOA1, then do not get touched until you get NOA2 or a RFE. More touches if you get a RFE
  6. Welcome OBX You have come to right place for help - I am sure someone can give you some advice. Ying is also from Henan. Good luck with your visa and the little one !!
  7. Sorry for the redundant info - found king's post - at that time I was with my SO in Juizhaigou - not obsessed with CFL and case status. Give me a mop slap or a dirty look - or both - pleassse !!!!!
  8. Congratulations. One day I hope to be waiting for P3
  9. Just a few days ago, I saw a report that the adoptions were going to be moved to new building in June. It did not mention anything about K-1. I guess we will see what happens. Looks like something is moving in June
  10. We rarely exchange emails anymore - maybe exchange some e-cards or photos a few times a month. Now we primarily communicate by phone, 2 hours a day. Ying does self-study English almost everyday, so some of the time is used to review her lessons. The rest seems to go towards what we will do on my next visit, our relationship, our plans for the future, etc.
  11. Good luck again - I guess "yellow cow" is some sort of enbassy crossing guard /line director ?
  12. Trigg - Thank for post on the sig pages you have - I was wondering if you received mine. Come on folks - step up and get on board - you are only hurting yourself if you do not.
  13. I was not sure what was proper location to drop bottle. East Coast - West Coast ??? Pray that your bottle does not get caught in one of those submarine wakes - nobody knows where they go. They leave from east and west coast - so equal chance for delay!!!
  14. Trigg - we have plan. Vaudeville is long gone from Peoria, but there is a "little" company here with some international interests. Fishing here is a real problem. The channel in river is only 9 feet deep. The rest of river is only 2-4 ft deep. The proper bait would make a real 4mess !!! Don't tell anyone - I was born in Alabama - Heart of Dixie
  15. Trigg I see your point about posting even full name of the signers. Possible solution is that the cover letter to the final letter can reference that X number of folks signed - the original with sig pages was sent to ... Blah , blah. We could pick this up and send to our senators, etc. with our sig page - if desired. I agree the sig page should not have extra personal comment, beyond where you are in the visa process. The simple statement of where you are in the visa process shows you are/have been involved and affected - not just a troublemaker
  16. Be tough and tougher. I had almost 2 year wait to start process - thought I had the waiting thing down - wrong. I am hopefully approaching my first real milestone ( NOA2). Going through NSC, folks within 1 week of my NOA1 are getting approved- but there are those who have been left behind. The whole thing has really got to me this week. I think its because Friday I will see Laopo and really want NOA2 behind us. Yesterday Laopo told we I seem like a child - that is not good !! Note to self - take deep breath suck it up. PS - any ideas on removing Cheetos stain - quickly ??
  17. Trigg I will mail you my sig page, with short statement of my position in the visa process. I am going to send a copy of the final letter to my senators ( cc will be included on my sig letter). A question - will the final letter you post have the names of all signers ? This would be only way my senators would know how many folks signed the letter - unless copy of letter with all sig pages is sent to senators on the cc lists ???? I would contribute to photocopy and postage fund. If I have time, I may get my sig page notarized - might be useful to have some more proof that I am involved in the process beside filling forms and waiting, waiting, waiting ........ Thanks to all for doing the work on this
  18. Maybe I can help - I have done a bunch of international and domestic China flights. First of all a 60 kg bag is not going anyway without special fees or arrangments. For China Southern, on a international leg, luggage is covered by the "piece" rules. Total size and 32 kg ( 70 lbs) max per bag. This is pretty typical of all carriers international flights. They mention thier domestic restrictions ( 20 kg), because these rules apply for domestic flight. You can get hung up with a legal international bag on a connecting domestic flight. I have flown domestically with a bag or bags over 20 kg, but it was just a bit over - no where near 30 kg. The baggage rules in China typically have lax enforcement, but I have seen folks run into trouble.
  19. Thomas Puff up your posts, just a little. Just kidding, your ex-Ohio buddy. Do NOT encourage folks to cross the river. The river is there for a reason !!!!
