  1. The nightmare you endured is now behind you. Congratulations!
  2. From the many posts on Visa Journey as well as my experience, TSC is no longer processing I129F's. It more than likely got transferred to CSC to which will add some time on the front end for the receiving of the NOA1. Since it has only been a couple of weeks from May 1, I would definitely give it some more time before raising a red flag. Just my 2 yuan...
  3. Thank You Dan! I will get it notorized where I work. Whew! I was in scramble mode for the evidence but now I have two weeks before interview for that. Thanks again.
  4. I apologize for being a pest but I still question one of the questions raised and add one of my own: 1. What is required to take to the medical exam? I have prepared the I-134, tax returns, w2s, employers letter, bank letter, stocks/bonds, and other asset statements. Does she also need to bring relationship evidence to the medical exam or can that wait until interview? 2. On the bottom of the I-134 it has, "Subscribed and sworn to (affirmed) before me this ___ day of _____ at ___. My commision expires on ___. Signature of Officer Administering Oath ____ Title ____" Who is supposed to fill that in? Thank You for the responses.
  5. fhtb, very eloquently said! I agree with everything as you put my thoughts into the forum. Now, let's stop the male "penis envy" arguements for timelines and get back to the regularly scheduled program of discussing visa application process strategies.
  6. Congratulations! On to the next stage in your life...
  7. Sorry Squid. Your timeline of 243 days compares to my 483 days from NOA1 to interview. Your timeline of 246 days from NOA1 to visa compares to my 484 days. Many folks are looking at a year. Seems like your very fortunate timeline isn't well appreciated as it should be. Good luck on interview day to you and yours. BTW - my point was.....GZ is not the only consulate to use the local mail service to deliver visas. In London, it takes about a week from the interview date; not three days to pick it up. You attack me because my petition was faster than yours? Like I had anything to do with it? Start looking out for the good of the people on this website instead of your personal battles, please? Be a unbiased moderater who who helps provide information as your title implies! As said many times, I wish a speedy process for everyone.
  8. We are not discussing London where petitioners whine about a three month wait. We are talking about a country where major inequalities exist as well as having procedures as dictated by the US which are totally stupid! No similarities exist here.
  9. Dan, I have no explanation. The major difference between my SO and others is that mine has an American degree to which she earned while in the US for over 8 years. I would think that the background checks went a little easier. Also, if you notice, the USCIS was really quick for a couple of months right before reelections so I was caught in that wave. I wish a speedy and fair process to everyone.
  10. Everyone makes good points. The best thing to do now is to see how others going through their interview now are getting handled. I will sit tight.
  11. Here's an idea: Once the interview rite of passage has been completed, why don't they stamp your passport at that time and give you the needed paperwork? Wow, am I genius or what? They should hire me as a streamlining expert so that I could enhance their governing and leadership with a very important trait that seems to be missing from everyone in their senior staff, COMMON SENSE! And another thing, Another fee to get something that we already paid for with application fees, travel fees, hotel fees, phone call fees, taxes, and many other fees while waiting the months/years to get our SO to the U.S. is totally out of control! Now we have an additional travel fee because we must wait at a hotel for 3+ more days. (aka get their heads out of their A**)
  12. What the heck are we supposed to do in Guangzhou for 3 days?!? Is there anything worth seeing? How far is it to Shenzhen? - fhtb WTF??? MotherF*()&)O*&'s What now? We have waited long enough for one little stamp and now they throw this NEW requirement into the mix? I have alot more cursewords to say that are definitely NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT! They, US Embassy, have no clue about the real world and relationships. They think they are doing us a favor eventhough we support the government through our hard earned dollars with the payment of taxes. F*)(U them. Maybe it is time to change nationalities? This is the straw that broke my camel's back. I am sorry for the outburst but I just had to have a release. This is all coming from one who is sworn in to protect this country at any cost and has served 8+ years in the military therefore asserting that promise. Are we just like a big corporation who forgets it's roots? They need to remember who we are as a country and where we all came from! I am off my soapbox now but not feeling any better. If anyone wants to call me now so that I can pretend the caller is from the US Gov't, please do so and I will give you a piece of my mind! Click here for my screams
  13. Congrats Mari! I have been thinking about your situation on a daily basis.
  14. This is the only thing I got from them: Am I missing something?
  15. I sent them a request earlier today. What happens after you send the request? I am guessing there is no way to book online? I tell you what, all of you people have been a great help!
  16. The pressure is too great! It is actually nooneufo's prediction. He is the great statistician.
  17. Squid: Change the font to Courier. It is a fixed width font and will let you make even columns I don't care what anybody says about you. I like you! Thank you for the suggestion! Worked like a charm.
  18. Can't resist....must post...of no usefulness to topic... What do you call 10,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? A good start. Seriously, unless you have extraordinary circumstances i.e. previous refusals, visa overstays, etc., fill out the paperwork on your own. CFL is a huge library of very insiteful people who have been there/done that and are willing to help others.
