The 3day, 5day, 7day numbers are my interpolation averages to get an idea of Guangzhou performance. For example, by looking at the 7day numbers you can see that they appeared to be catching up on the longer waiting people towards the end of the interview month schedule.

I'm sorry nooneufo. My dates were written yyyy/mm/dd and it confused you a little. I have sense changed them around. They now are reflected mm/dd/yyyy. (My P3 is December, not July.)

Thanks, made the changes. At least taking Squid off the delayed list is good news, even though it was an error. But I'll take anything. Hope next is all good interviews and more p4's. Please sir, may I have some more p4's?

Thanks, for letting me know, as I like to correct my spread sheet for calculations. I would have blamed the Microsoft horde for this one, but it turns out it was my error. But I do think their software is burning out my memory chips.

nooneufo, no problem. I was trying to make a graph to see trends. I went back to 5/28/2004 p3 return and made the following graph depicting days from p3 return (by date) to interview:

Whoa sting88, I see your long suffering is soon to end. Let us hope the other delayed people see something soon too.

 

Squid, how do you make the pretty chart? Mine I had to do manually, but is an interpolated version off of each weeks p3 average. I chose this method because some people are reporting the p3 return date, other the p3 computer entry date. Good to see we have the same trend, and hope it continues.

Just a meaningless correlation I am sure, but note there is a large number of September p3's compared to August, and the corresponding increase in time? Lower number of p3's for October, and we see the wait numbers go down as well. It will be interesting to see how this holds up for December/January p3's compared to October/November p3's. Making the assumption that the numbers on CFL reflect the total general month to month variation.

 

Average of the P3 to Interview returns of that week of that month.

nooneufo, I pulled all the info you and a couple others had into an Excel spreadsheet, charted it out, then exported to HTML. I then went to the directory in which the html page was saved and grabbed the gif file that Excel had made which is the chart. After that, I hosted it on my webserver and posted in the thread with that image.

 

Sounds intricate but it really only takes a few seconds once all the data is on the spreadsheet. I thank you for being a data resource.

 

I do like the current trend but you have to remember, it is a very small sample of the total visa applicants in Guangzho. I would like to get my hopes up but am trying to keep them down in order to not be dissappointed.

Dear Nooneufo,

 

Just thought I would add a clarification. My P3 was actually entered into the GZ system on 9/1/04.

 

It somehow fell through the cracks at GZ and has now been there for 5 Months. I was informed that it was pun in the "que" ready to be scheduled as of 12/15/04.

 

Just trying to keep the numbers accurate. Our application will probably drag down the average!
