Randy W
The passport renewal is in Chinese for Chinese citizens only. Yes, it's there. Your wife should be able to help you. You may need to renew the entry permit at her PSB, although I expect it's there on the Consulate's website also in Chinese only. Link to comment
Martin B
Renew her passport and get an I551 stamp. You'll need to renew it in person at the Chinese consulate. My wife did this a few weeks ago - what s shit show. Link to comment

Current visa is a IR1.This will be our second time doing the passport renewal in NY. The only difference this time the paper work/application is done online now. Link to comment
Randy W
Start here http://houston.china-consulate.org/chn/zjfws/hz/t1388064.htm If you don't need a green card or a travel document, then you won't need them. Simply renew the passport. You should be aware that the CR/IR-1 visas are good for ONE entry only. After that, she will need the I-551 stamp or validation or a valid green card. An expired green card will most likely still allow entry to the U.S., but may cause her some grief when trying to board a flight to the U.S. Edited January 28, 2020 by Randy W (see edit history) Link to comment

Randy W
Here's one I found through a search of CFL. They change links once in a while, but this one is still current - that is, the link is still active. You may want to make sure you have the version they expect you to use. http://newyork.china-consulate.org/chn/zjfw/bgxz/hzlxz/P020150808092230717035.pdf Edited January 4, 2021 by Randy W (see edit history) Link to comment
meihua
Has anyone had their Chinese passport arbitrarily cancelled? She was able to check hers on wechat using facial recognition - it has been cancelled with over 5 years left!!! She is currently in the USA waiting for adjustment of status. She knows of 5 people this has happened to. Anyone have any idea whats going on?? Thanks Link to comment

This usually happens when a Chinese citizens acquires US citizenship, and then applies for a Chinese visa in their American passport. Link to comment
Martin B
My wife recently renewed hers at the Chinese Embassy in Chicago. How can you check if a Chinese passport is valid? I've heard it happen to Chinese who got US citizenship, but I have never heard of it happening to an AOS applicant.... Link to comment

I've been trying to tell her it's not a big deal but since our daughter was born in the US she absolutely insists that as a family we all have the same passport... Link to comment
