My wife was a clinical massage therapist. She is currently going to school to get her LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) certification here. She should graduate end of January.

My Yu was interested in this, I can put her through the program at my local community college, but it is 2 years of hard study, I can get the tuition reduced to ZERO, but the 2 years of study is what she is not planning on.

If you are willing and able to pay tuition, she could probably get done in 6 months to a year.

We decided the amount was an investment in our future. Lisa is going to Everest Institute, a year long program. The big thing that has helped her is two Kingsoft Translation programs. The FastAIT program allows her to translate entire pages at once and with PowerWord 2009 she simply moves the mouse over a word and gets instant translation. It has an extensive medical terminoloy dictionary for translation.

My work offers it as a 2 year degree program.

My Fiance is an Office Manage 10 years at present company, and an Office Manage 10 years at her prior job. Low on the pay scale I believe. She does like her job. While I was there, I traveled with her to a few banks, and government offices while she was taking care of business.

Xuemei had various sales jobs over the years. she worked in Shenzhen for 2 months making $1000rmb per month working 10-12 hour days last year before coming to the US. I asked her to go home and I would send her at least that amount to just talk to me on the phone....this is not an easy job. :toot:

Now she works at Wal-mart... She has been there 3 months today and she doesn't particulary like it. But she likes having her own money and earning money towards her retirement.

I tell her if she wants to get a better job, she will have to work hard to get certified in something, she's still young enough at 41.

She did get her CPR certification back in May from the local college.
