OK - so not enough snow for any 'quickie ' outside formations. I get it.

OH ! Shopping in China !!! EEEK - that's a day of 'Hello - you buy' coupled with clerks and touts grabbing at you, pulling you into their shops, with countless arguments about the price.

I can understand that 1000 yard stare, now, I've had it too !!

I release you from my snow challenge  .

Stay WARM !!

I must be a kid, I get such a kick out of seeing these vehicles, also the three wheeled bikes seen here.

Flying to Beijing tomorrow afternoon

Richard

 I'm a kid too. I couldn't stop taking pictures of all the different ways Chinese people got around. Every kind of mode of transportation imaginable. :D Still cracks me up to see stuff like that. :D

Have a good trip back and thanks again for the pics and journal reports. :)

Wife read on CFL that someone contacted their local newspaper to post an article about how they met, dated and married as an interracial couple, and further to show as edvidence for a bona fide relationship. That's all she needed to know and off she went...so after a phone call interview, and emailing the reporter the link to her blog for our story and access to photo's, we appeared on the front page of a local Harbin paper.

We took a bus to the Oriental Pearl Tower, great place to see and experience. The view was fantastic, but planning a trip so that you can see the sunset would have been prudent.

Some of the windows were dirty so that interfered with the photo's but I can't imagine how they could be cleaned. To go to the hightest point, 350 meters, cost $150 rmb. If I remember right a meter is about 3' (?)

As you can tell the smog was bad, but probably would have enhanced the sunset with an orange sky. The weather was nice but a bit on the cool side with the wind blowing made it feel chilly.

At least you go to go up the pearl tower on a clear day. We went on a terrible rainy day and you couldnt see anything haha.
