We received the interview appointment letter yesterday. The date is set for December 8. I think she is just about ready, but she is very nervous now.

Biometrics was done on September 12 and we received the interview letter on October 17, so just a little over a month.

We had been working everyday. I had to give her some time off, for good behavior, and give her mind a rest. We will pick it up again this week.

That is very quick, my wife goes for her biometics Saturday, October 25th, my wife is hoping for a December or January interview, she has been studying very hard, good luck to your wife, Congratulations! I agree they need some time off and take a break for a day or two.

Since her biometrics, she had been at it everyday while the kids were in school. Then I would quiz her before I would hit the bed. After a month, she was getting a little punchy. So I told her to let it rest for a week, then we would start again, this time with writing and reading. She needed the rest.

I think the timeline between biometrics and interview actually depends on the availability of slots at the LOCAL OFFICE (Also noted: her notice came from the USCIS CA branch- your USCIS District Office mileage may also vary).

 

Las Vegas HAD BEEN running about a year between both until recently- there was a concentrated push to approve and swear in new citizens in time for the elections.

 

My wife had biometrics done in Vegas on 5/30/08- her interview date is 12/02/08.

Good luck. Your appointment is 6 days in front of ours. My wife is nervous. Have been going over the questions and having her write some simple statements for practice. Going to go through a lot of paper (practicing) before the interview date.
