Well the long journey with the USCIS is over. Ella became a US citizen about 11AM today along with 48 others here in Indianapolis in the Federal building. Beside her new certificate she received a letter from the President and Senator Richard Lugar. It was great. I will post some pics later.

I have had the honor of attending the swearing-in ceremony of a couple of my Citizenship class students here in LA. Bearing witness to all those new Americans and see their pride as they repeat the oath puts a big lump in my throat.

 

How proud you both should be and how proud am I, are we of Ella!

Great news, Tine!

Now go get her a United States passport, (good for 10 years, unlike the Chinese passport, good for only 5 years.) :)
