  1. how retarded are these people? I don't really think you want to know. This morning I scheduled another infopass....nothing else I can do now that so many have been getting AOS interview notices while Ling and I sit here on our thumbs watching the months go by.
  2. I used Seattle DOS 1.0 before Bill Gates & Paul Allen bought the company and renamed it Microsoft.
  3. My 15 year old step daughter did this last month as well. I was told it is only a program to introduce/improve fitness in the nation's youth--good idea!

  5. That comment is completely uncalled for. But I'm glad to know what you really think about me. Thank you. You keep saying it inspite of the info offered by myself and another to the contrary. Asking why you've completely disregarded that info is a legitimate question. A Schedule C is not a higher burden of proof as it is already part of the tax return of a self-employed individual. Unlike a self-employed person, an individual employed by another must submit a letter of employment. That sounds to me like the employed person has the higher burden of proof. Why does my pointing this out and asking for clarification bother you so much??????
  6. Why do you keep saying this? What is this "little higher" consist of??????
  7. It's called a Schedule C Carl. No I'm not arguing about nothing. You provide a copy of your tax return whether you're employed by another or yourself. It's the same. In fact, it's a bit easier because my Schedule C supercedes the need for a letter of employment that the rest of you might need to provide. Your statement said self-employed have to prove income by other means and it just so happens that we don't.
  8. Us self-employed just provide copies of our tax returns like everyone else. I see, and on the line in the tax form where it says income from line X on your W-2, what do you put? 0
  9. Us self-employed just provide copies of our tax returns like everyone else.

  11. Honestly I like having Yanlan around the house, she is a lot of fun. SHE is the one that can't wait to work. I need jobs. is all I hear. I try to tell her to slow down but to no avail! Then maybe you'll be fortunate like us and have to wait 120 days and counting....... Yes, Ling has been making noises for a week now about working without a work permit. I've told her that breaking the law in that way is NOT an option in my household. Yesterday she came home from her ESL class (what a great venue for spreading misinformation!!!!) claiming knowledge of all kinds of work it is legal to do without a permit. Ling told me she needed to work so she could help pay for our food. I only said, "yes....and our house payment......" She replied, "but that is $1200 every month!" To which I responded, "but you only have to pay 1/2. And when your daughter gets here you will pay 2/3." She knows I was only teasing but I made my point. She promised me she would wait for her permit.
  12. Randy we gave them all the reciepts and everything. No luck. Thanks Because an application doesn't guarantee approval. We're waiting onboard the same boat--almost a full month ahead of you. 90-day window expired and no EAD in sight. Don't sprain anything twiddling your thumbs waiting.......
