Attention K1 people..please only K1 people

Please only post in this thread if you have filed a K-1 and your SO has received the P3 after Jan 2005.

Please DO NOT post in this thread if you have filed a K3 or CR1.

 

Another member and myself are trying to collect data on

the final namecheck COMPLETION dates, not your P3 dates.

If you don't know the completion date please call DOS at 202-663-1225

Lately 4 K1 cases have gotten the interview dates within 55 days after the

namecheck has been completed.

I believe once we can collect this date from you we can make better predictions for interviews for K1 people.

The interview cant be scheduled until AFTER the final namecheck , so P3 dates are not accurate for calculating the interview dates.

If your SO has already received the P4 please give us the namecheck completion date.

If your SO has had or been scheduled for the interview please post the NCK date.

when calling DOS you will need to ask them "what is the date GZ was told the SO is eligible to be scheduled for the interview?" the date they give you is the one we need.

 

Seriously... Please only K1 filers post in this thread. I don't need info from K3 or CR1 people.

 

Below you will see the final namecheck dates, the next date shown should be the date you should call DOS to get the interview date.

Don't know the exact date but based on my weekly calls, I know it was pretty close to May 30th

I've called DOS twice today to get this for you.. seems I get the exact same response from both people.

 

The only thing they see is an email I sent to GUZ and the reply from GUZ stating , "Your clearance is just finished and your case is not scheduled yet. We will notify you once set."

 

I got this reply on May 6.

Did't have a second name check.

 

The first one was almost 5 months.

 

When I checked in April after I returned from China,

I was told we were waiting for an interview to be scheduled.

I remember there was one guy who got his K1 in about 7 months.

 

I think he was politically connected.

 

On his website he had photos of him and the Democrat President and Vice President candidates.

Name Check completed on May 19th. We are waiting to be scheduled for an interview. If your theory holds true, we should know sometime around the 19th of July.

I got this reply on May 6.

You can see in my timeline called DOS 04-04, name check complete. I asked "When was the name check complete?" The answer: "Sorry sir, I do not have that information. I can only tell you the name check is complete now."

Steve called DOS many times for this info and this is what I get:

 

1/10 proved

NVC did 3 name checks on me, once in Jan. and twice in Feb.

Case was aproved by NVC and sent to GZ on 2/3

P3 was recieve on 4/7

 

I didn't have name check again after that. Steve called twice and they told him that my name check is done and enter GZ computer system on 4/15

Called DOS today. The very friendly lady told me that my So's name check was completed on January 28th and the P3 was recieved on May 10th and that she is elegable for the interview and has been in the que pending a date.. she said its usually 3 months from the May 10th date. Interesting.

I think my data may cause a bit of difficulty with the name check theroy. All name checks were complete before it left NVC for GZ.

 

Confirmed this information on 6/29/2005
