  1. What service center did you go through?? We went through the Vermont Service Center.
  2. Jennifer got her Green Card yesterday, it looks pretty cool. It looks as if they are trying to make it impossible to copy it in any way. We noticed the presidents of the US on it pluss a lot of flags on it also. It didnt take half as long as we thought for her to get it, as a matter of fact, she hasnt even been here 1 year yet!
  3. Is anyone else having trouble on the photo web site? There are a lot of errors that keep showing up when I try to look at the pictures, something at the bottom of the pages and also the top.
  4. Like I said, the best people to beleive are the people that have been through it already, sorry if it isn't the answer that you wanted to hear.
  5. When Jennifer and I were going through the K1 Process, we both learned this. "Other than the people that have been through a visa process, dont beleive them." Sorry, but that is the best advice that I can give you, good luck.
  6. I was just watching CNN and they say that GuangZhou will host the 2010 Asian Games there, looks like we better start saving our money, I can see a lot of trips to China in the near future.
  7. Jennifer and I would be interested, and by that time we will have Victor Zhou Parks with us also. We have already noticed a few sites that have tickets and reservations for the 2008 Olympics already, could these be money and credit card traps? Does anyone know just how we would get tickets to this in the US? I know it's a long way away, but it will be here before we know it. This is a pretty good web page on the 2008 Olympics: http://www.china.org.cn/e-shenao/
  8. We are expecting our baby any day now and Jennifer wanted me to find out about a tradition that says she is supposed to stay in bed for 30 days? She wants to let my parents read about this tradition. Do any of you guys know of a web site that explains this?
  9. Be careful, use good judgemennt and common sense.......
  10. Lenjia, maybe this is too obvious to say, but does she have any proof to show GZ where she was living? I would think GZ would need to see some bills/pay records/anything with her new address to document her living apart. Plus, all the other typical kinds of proof -- all phone records, emails, letters, pictures. Letters from his/her friends that could vouch for the relationship.... anything with substance that would convince GZ that a true love relationship exists. Getting married 2 months after talking on Internet probably does increase their burden of proof. Unfortunately, GZ does need to check these things because of the scammers. WOW, What a great idea. We never thought of that at all! Thanks a lot for helping, I am sure that our friend will be very happy to hear about this! Thanks again!
  11. I only have a few things to say, the first is be carefull, the second thing is, if you have any doubt in youre mind about anything, think twice about it before you get to involved in it. Sex, removing clothes, talking dirty on a phone to each other doesnt make a realtionship happen. You really and honestley have to love each other for this to work. It isnt something that happens overnite either, it took us about 13-14 months for everything to be finished and for Jennifer to come here. You need to ask youreself this question, How does she know that she loves you , she has never seen you has she? I am sorry, but there is no way that she could honestly know if she wants to marry you or not this soon. I had an idea that I wanted to marry Jennifer before I went there, but we never talked about it at all until I asked her to marry me. I had been there for 8 days and I knew that she was very serious about how she felt about me. If you are having doubts, check youre doubts before you make up youre mind to keep this going on, but if I was you I would stop this conversation with her right now. Sorry if that isnt what you wanted to hear, but it is just the way that I feel about it. Whatever you decide, good luck to you and I hope that everything works out for you.
  12. Ok, I just talked to our friend and he told me this: His wife wasnt living with her husband for a total of two years (he or she didnt tell the Consulate this or the USCIS and we didnt know either) she filed for a divorce after our friend started talking to her, got the divorce and got married to him about 2 months after they started talking on the internet. Like I said, he didnt tell the Consulate any of this and neither did his wife so I told him that he needs to tell the Consulate or USCIS this because it should make a differance in there case. The USCIS and the Consulate think that she was with her husband all of the time and that she only got a divorce to come to the states to get a green card, that is what I am thinking about this now. I also asked him if she had any kind of police record, she doesnt, she has been at the same job for about 25 years and never been in any kind of trouble at all. Do you guys think this will make any knid of differance at all? Jennifer and I are tryint to help him and especially me because I know how I would feel if I was put into that kind of situation. Thanks again for youre help guys!
  13. His wife had gone to Guang Zhou for the interview and had some problems. The main problem was that she could hardly speak English at all. They told her husband to make a video about 10 minutes long and send it back with some more paperwork that they had asked for. He is retired and they also wanted more proof of his income. He told us that his wife was married and that she had got a divorce. This is what Jennifer and I were thinking. The way that we figured it was that she started talking to him before they got a divorce and found out that she could get a way to the US by getting married to an American. She then got a divorce and about 2 months after she got the divorce, she married our friend that we have been talking to. I think that this was about 80% the reason that they are having this problem now and the other 20% was that she can hardly speak English at all. I think that he just got tied up with the wrong lady and she was thinking that this was an easy way to the US, she also has a daughter that is around 13-15 years old. I hate to think this way, but I think that the Consulate is also thinking this way also. Jennifer and I talked to him today and he said that she was supposed to go back to the Consulat this Monday, the 22, for her follow up interview. I told him that she might as well go to the interview and see what they will say about this problem that they are having. He is telling us that he is on the verge of selling everything that he has and moving to China. Jennifer and I think that he will have a problem with this also.
  14. One of our friends got this letter in the mail today and we just wanted to get a little input from you guys and find out what you think about this letter: Today, I have received a letter from U.S. Visa Office >in Guangzhou, In this letter they said: > >"We have carefully reviewed your application for an >immigrant visa based upon your relationship to the >petitioner .Although we have thoroughly reriewed the >particular facts of your case and the evidence you >have provided, you have failed to establish that a >bona fine relationship exists between you and your >petitioner. We are therefore returning you petition to >the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services with a >recommendation that they investigate the circumstances >of your case. Should you, the petitioner or your >attorney have any questions concerning your case, >please contact the investigations unit of the CIS >office that first approved your petition. Please do >not contact us, as we will not be able to respond any >questions regarding the status of your case." Thanks for youre help guys....
  15. That is great news, I remember that was the hardest part for Jennifer and I was waiting for her name clearance. It wont be long now! Good luck!
  16. A show that both Jennifer and I love is that show that comes on Spike TV called MXC. I dont know if you guys have seen it, but if you get a chance, watch it. Once you have seen it once, you will watch it over and over again. It comes from Japan but they have Americans that do the overdube to there voices with people playing these games, really funny.
  17. I guess I would have to say Jennifers favorite TV show is Jerry Springer. She has told me that she has never in her life seen anything like it before in her life. The Simple Life was another one, but I think the season for that show is over. When Simple Life isnt on, it is TV's Most Wildest Police Chase Videos, she really likes that show and now it is on Spike TV Mon. - Friday. I think that is about it, all of those shows are programed into our schedule for each day, so they are a must to see.
  18. That song is amazing!! Thank you so much for posting that. I think that is one of the greatest things about music, no matter what language or culture, you can enjoy it. Music has no boundary at all.
  19. Well if it makes you feel any better, and I sure hope that it does, I got one of those also. It said the same thing that youres did. The problem that we had was that I sent in the wrong Birthcertificate, it was supposed to be the one from the state not from the hospital that I was born in. I sent the information back express mail and certifed mail. Once they had sent the return receipt back, I guess it was about 2 weeks and we heard from them that once they got that information, that was all that they needed. Hope this helps.
  20. Kelly is very pretty too and made many HK movies. I have never seen any of her movies, I would love to see them though. The next time we go back to China, we are going to try and catch her in concert somewhere..
  21. Right, the only thing I hate about her music, is I cant understand a word of it...lol...lol... She has done a few English songs and most of the CD's that we get here are of very, very low standards as far as the music goes. I am quit sure that they are bootleg CD's. I have found a site called YesAsia.com that we can get all of her real CD's at. We have just ordered her newest CD from there and am waiting on pins and needles for it. This is a link to her web site if any of you guys are interested in her and her music: http://www.kellyconcertoclub.com/
  22. Thats easy, Kelly Chen is the best in Pop Chinese music. If you guys get a chance, check her out, she is great. My wife turned me on to her once she got here, and now there is no turning back.
  23. Great job, Jennifer and I just got done looking at youre videos. It reminded both of us how much we miss China, Jennifer says she misses the food and I miss China itself. Thanks a lot for bringing back some really great memories for Jennifer and I. God bless both of you.
  24. I am sorry, but I would have to agree with youre husband. That stamp means a lot, but just you two being together now means a lot more. There is always time to get a stamp and at least now you are together to work out the paperwork.
