About DaveR

  • Birthday 01/27/1958
  1. Congratulations and best wishes for the future. Dave
  2. I looked at the same thing today. I read the pages and there are like 8 pages of instructions for a medical exam, that my wife will not need since she had it before the K-1 interview. I hope that we can get the package off by the end of the week. Dave
  3. Waiters and waitresses are not the only people who just work for tips. I work in the casino industry and most dealers, cocktail servers, bellhops, and others are paid less than minimum wage. They get around it by saying that their income is supplemented by tips. I am usually very generous when I go anywhere and tip the waiter/waitresses, because I am in the business and also members of my family have worked in restuarants. If the food and service is good then I enjoy tipping. Dave
  4. Congratulations on getting the white slip. I know your report will help others who are nervous about the experience. Dave
  5. Congratulations on passing the interview. Dave
  6. I just called the HR Dept and told them what was needed on the letter based on the instructions from the i-134. The lady had it ready and available when I went into work later that day. Dave
  7. Great news Robert. I know it will only be a few more months until the wedding. Good luck with the passport and visa. Dave
  8. If John is such a great employee, why is he still the lowly servant after 106 years. He should at least be the head lowly servant that others can look up to. I bet after 106 years, he can just be above minimum wage. Lucky guy. Dave
  9. First off Congratulations beijingjj on her passing the interview. I know my fiancee only has a copy of the 797, I still have the original. I will find out what the procedure is on Wednesday. That is when she arrives in the US. House is getting clean slowly. Dave
  10. On my first visit we tok photos with a film camera and digital camera. Pretty even about 20 photos from each. On my second trip we took only digital photos, around 70. We had photos of me with her parents and other family members on the second visit. When my fiancee went in for the interview, she had placed the photos with me and her family in the front of all the photos, so they were the ones the VO looed at first. She had not problem getting the visa. Dave
  11. Sorry I forgot to add....Welcome to CFL. I hope you have a short journey to the visa. Dave
  12. I will try and add my 2 yuan worth. The list of documents looks good. If she has a child you willneed their birth records and court documents supporting of her custody. You may also need a letter from her ex, allowing you to let the child emigrate to the US. This will probably be needed at the interview, not at the start of the process. The police certificate is something she can get from her city of residence(hokou). It may not necessarily be the city she is living in. It is usually good for 6 months or 1 year, but it is better to get it when you are close to getting the p-4 or interview. I do not know if she has to do anything for the medical exam. My fiancee just called one of the hospitals in GZ that were on the list and checked on the times for the exam. She then showed up and a few days later she had the results back. I know you can pay extra and have the results back the same day, but you must arrive at the hospital when they first open. I am not sure about the single certificate for her. I know she got one, but I do not know where. I did a letter stating I was single and wished to marry her when I send my 129F. I did another letter after the p-4 as an update, stating I still wanted to marry her. I am sure others can give you a little more info. Dave
  13. Carl: I will get a check mailed out on Monday. Dave
  14. That is some really great news about Jany. I am sure it ranks right up there with what all the wildlife felt like when you got home Trigg. Can never be too much of a mounting man. Dave
