  1. K1 is non-immigration visa, the fee is 830RMB per person. Just go back to the bank and pay for it. Hope that helps and best luck. stan
  2. It sounds like they are charging you for the $335 again, can't give you a firm answer. GZ's web-site does not mention anything other than the $335 and $45 fees. http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/guangzho...hou/iv/new.html
  3. 1 - Some of the hospitals have same day service, some might take 2-4days. 2 - I would say no. As far as I know, there is no drug screen. 3 - she just need to sign it at the interview. Hope that helps stan
  4. Thanks all for your kindness! Amber, have you touched the stars when you were on top of the Moxing Ling? :-) Looking forward to the reunion, but we don't have to wait until next year, please drop us a line if you guys ever gonna be in the SF bay area. Jenny, please keep us updated about your twins :-) stan
  5. Yvonne had her interview on March 31st with great success, although visa was in hand the very next day, but a misspelled name was discovered when she had the visa. Immediately, she returned to the window for correction, but she has to wait in GZ for 3 more days (because of the weekend). Thankfully, she got the corrected visa back on Monday afternoon, will return home on Tuesday. The interview lasted approximily 5 minutes, her VO was a young Asian female speaks fluent Mandarin that can hardly detect any accent. About 20 questions were asked, my SO handled all the questions extremely well. Here are some of the questions that were asked. who is your petitioner? where does he live? what does he do for living? how did you meet? who introduced the two of you? when was the first time you met? how many times has he visited you? when were those visits? where you went while he was in China? does he have any children? is his son living with his ex-wife? do you have any pictures? who is this kid? (pointed at my son in one of the pictures) May I have the affidavit support? white slip issued at this point!!! A special thanks goes to Amber and her fianc¨¦, XM. Because I was not in GZ during the interview, they offered great deal of helps and lot of comforts when my SO needed the most. Thanks again Amber and XM, you guys are the greatest! Thanks to CFL and all members for your help and support, without you, my SO and I are most likely still struggling in the dark. Best luck to everyone.
  6. Yes, John, you should fill GIV-24 in both English and Chinese. For question #7, I think just city and state should be good enough, at least this is what we did.
  7. Just called DOS, after 30 minutes of waiting, the visa specialist informed me her interview date will be March 31, at 8:00am! Yeah!! That makes me the Happiest man on earth! Will call and tell her this great news in a couple of hours. John, please update our info on the list. Thanks so much!!
  8. Jenny, just go to your local Notary Public office and have all the documents translated and notarized there. Yes, you have to translate those docs into English. Best
  9. Congratulations John, that really is great news.
  10. Welcome to CFL. Here is the answer to your question found on the GZ web-site: http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/guangzho...u/iv/kvfaq.html What if my petition expires? Consular officers have the authority to extend the validity of petitions that have expired. Because many petitions often expire before an applicant can be interviewed, officers at the Consulate routinely extend the validity of K-1 petitions. You might want to contact NVC to find out what happened to your case and what the GUZ number is. Best luck! stan
