  1. NVC Case complete for CR-1 petition 8/16/2016, interview is now scheduled in end of September. If approved at interview she will get CR-1 visa ...Right?
  2. Yes I can try that I think there is one in Phila.1 hour from me.... I just now received the interview date end of Sept..... crazy was just approved at NVC 2 days ago
  3. I was wondering if its ok to travel back to China after entering US on CR-1 visa but before green card is issued. My wife will come here after interview for a month using her vacation time then travel back to China for 1 month to tie up looses ends and retire then return back to US. Its all about timing and maximizing vacation and retirement date will this be a problem for her to return back to US before green card? I was told it takes about 3 months to get green card now. I wasn't sure if the Visa they put in passport was just a one time use.. Anybody have an answer for this...We just got through the USICS and NVC stages sooner than we thought and now waiting for interview date, thinking interview will be in early October.
  4. That is good to know...I hope its the same now...I want to send in some other relationship evidence and its to much to email.. Do they also scan and email the I-130 to Guangzhou? Wow if they do my packet was thick and had lots of pictures. Wonder if they scan all the pictures too.
  5. I thought about doing the electronic filing but wanted to send in some pictures from a honeymoon trip we went on to Canada 2 months ago and I'm am leaving this coming Thursday for China for a 2 week road trip and will have some pictures from that trip as well plane tickets and other things . I thought sending them in with the NVC papers would be a good idea. Anybody have any thoughts on that? How much time do you think I'll lose sending by Fed ex over electronic filing? ....I won't be back to US until July 6th...When do you think I will be able to get my number to access the 260 form? I just was approved on the 17th and probably won't get letter till after I leave. Is there anything I can do while I'm in China with NVC to start the process?Be aware mail service with NVC results in NVC mailing the package to the consulate which tends to get hung up in Chinese customs for upwards of 3 months. NVC wants just what they request, ( affidavit of support, and foreign notary documents ) Bring the extra relationship stuff to the visa interview. What about the 2 passport photos they request ? How do you send them if you e- file. How about the I-130 package does NVC mail or email that to the consulate? if so does that get hung up at customs if it gets mailed?

Just had a chance to go through this whole post....wow great pictures !!! It was really nice to see all and read all your post...Thank you.
  10. I am using the I-864.... I can't fit her whole address in the space they provided on form Part 2 where it asks for principal immigrants address. On new form it also ask in care of, at first I thought I should put my address in there for her when they asked that. So I guess I will have to use part 11 for that as well.
  11. I sent a PDF of the .jpg of the passport photo. Perhaps it wasn't necessary, but I included the .jpg to fulfill the Document Cover Sheet checklist. We recently received our appointment time for the interview in Guangzhou, and the Consulate asked my spouse to bring an original passport photo to the interview. For the I-864 form areas that don't allow enough space for overseas phone numbers, I used Part 11 on page 12 to write in the overseas phone numbers with a short explanation saying 11 digits plus country code couldn't to be entered. Using Part 11 is important because it allows the bar code at the bottom of the PDF page to be updated. I also hand wrote the phone numbers into those areas like Part 2 because eventually you'll need to sign the form and print it, and scan it. Thank you, I see that now on part 11, I read that before not sure why it didn't click for me at the time. Thanks again ! Glad to hear you have interview date..
  12. Did you have to send in passport photos and if so how do you do that with email filing? I am having a little trouble filling out the I-864 ..On part 2 where it asks for the beneficiary telephone number the form online from the USCIS won't allow more than 10 numbers and with county code its 13 numbers is there a way to override that on the form or any suggestion. I 'm filling out the form that is good till 2017
  13. Thanks for the links on the driving.........Do I take passport to Chinese consulate her in the US to get the extended time limits on the visa I have now in my passport? right now my visa says 60 day
  14. I was wondering if anybody has any experience on getting a longer visitor visa for China. I have a 10 year Chinese visitors visa now but can only stay 60 days at a time. In order to get a drivers license I'm being told I need at least a 3 month visa. I don't see myself staying 3 months at a time but really would like to be able to drive while am there on my visits with my wife. She has a car but has only been driving few years and she scares the living daylights out of me the way she drives and on longer road trips it would be nice to switch drivers.
  15. So they don't require passport photo's now that it is done electronically? So my attachments should look something like this NVC document sheet my cover letter explaining the attachments. I -864 - Attachment 1 irs transcripts - Attachment 2 Marriage white book - Attachment 3 Her Divorce white book - Attachment 4 Her Birth Certificate white book - Attachment 5 Her Police clearance white book - Attachment 6 Her Bio page - Attachment 7 A file of relationship pictures and visit dates ect - Attachment 8 Do I need to sent my divorce decree ( was sent in at I-130 ) What about passport photos? Ami I missing anything?
  16. Thank you for sharing that, I will keep an eye out for any updates you may give. I have most of my paper work ready for when I get to that stage. I-864, tax transcript, Her and My divorce Decrees, Her birth cert,, our marriage cert, her bio page, will get police check closer to approval date. I don't know how anybody can get these into an email under 5mb and have separate attachments for each doc. Am I missing anything?
  17. How did this work for you? Did they give you a problem with the 5 emails? Also did you send in your 3 years of tax transcripts in the email to?
  18. ok so now I'm a little confused, Do I have to get anything special or just drive? If I get puller over for driving ( American ) will I get in any type of trouble?
  19. Can anybody tell me if I can get a temporary drivers license in China. I heard you could at some airports for short stays. My wife has a car and asks me to drive when I visit her mostly on the highways. Or any other advise. ( besides don't drive in China haha ) I have a US license
  20. Good news the Affidavit paper work is ok as it is. She took it to the Marriage department and they checked it all over and said every is good how it is,what a relief and will save a trip to US consulate which closest was a few hour train ride. So an extra day to do the things we want and not have to chase papers.
  21. Thanks Warren I really appreciate you giving back. I hope to be able to do the same someday . I'm sure as I navigate through this I will have more questions. My cousin who married his wife 13 years ago in China, he met her there while teaching English. Didn't know about this site and wished he would of. He had some difficulties getting his wife here. Someone told him about CFL much later in the process. He is still happy married and has 2 children. He told me to come here for questions cause things have changed since he went through the petitioning for his wife and forgot a lot of it.
  22. Yes I found that out quickly. I spoke to a woman also from China for 1 month she was 44 I'm 59...Yes I was smitten haha It didn't take me long to figure out she wanted to get married right away. Yes I thought I'm the man right? Hahaha It didn't have anything to do with me, just what she had in her mind what she wanted. so I gracefully backed away. I meet my future wife (51) she is so much different. Great personality, good job, own house , car ect. Plus she asked me all the right questions about me. Didn't smile at every word I said, wasn't always trying to please or tickle my ears like the others. Maybe I felt more secure knowing she didn't need me. We talk with each others family and friends on qq or skype built a good relationship. Fell in love , but not in the first 30 days. And it keeps growing stronger despite the distance. maybe that is the secret take the physical out and you really do have the like the person you are talking to. This whole process has me a little stress out not wanting to make a mistake in the formality of the CR-1 petition. It seems like we all start out paranoid because someone who doesn't know you can make a decision that will have a big impact on your life. we were both in long term marriage's and realize that life is not always a fairy tale but we have the experience to know what it takes to keep a marriage healthy as anyone can. 6 months together may not seem long to most, but because all we have for now is talk ( I'm lucky her English is good )we do a lot of it and know each other better than in our precious marriages. Like everyone else who finds their way here to this site I'm truly thankful to everyone. I can imagine it can get old hear the say stories from so many of us. ...Thanks again !
  23. Thank you !.... Its crazy how much information is different depending on who or where you ask.
