  1. Ok, thank you guys. We will just fill the I-751 form with my married name. Goodluck to us!!!!
  2. Randy, thank you for clearing that up. Speaking of marriage certificate, should I get a marriage certificate from the state or the marriage packet from China sufficient? Thank you.
  3. Thank you Dnoblett, for the quick response. I am still using my last name( SSN, Driver's License, everything), and haven't changed it to my married name. I remembered in the forum that it is easier to change my last name to my married name during the 10 year green card process, now I'm confused? Should I change my local identifications first before filing or I can do it when filing I-751? Please help me understand, thank you so much.
  4. "Happy Holidays Everyone!"

  5. Hello everyone, I know it has been quite a while since I have been online. Just finished my school and we are expecting a baby girl this holiday 😝. We are so excited and blessed. I do have a few questions about my status and needs all your help. I have a 2-year green card, I arrived here in the US last year of April 2nd. I know that I need to process for my 10-year green card 90 days before my 2nd anniversary. So my questions are as follows: 1. What type of visa should I file? 2. What are the documents needed? 3. Should we include our baby in the papers and how? 4. And lastly, how do I change my last name to my married name? It is included in the form or do I need to file separate? I really need your help and assistance everyone. Thank you so much! Regards, Mrs. Gravestey

  8. I asked my husband about this and we both agreed that hugging is normal here (US) and even in my country, Philippines. But it varies on different cultures though. Some countries, husbands or boyfriends get disrespected if their women hug other men. If you are here in the US, this is their way of greeting friends and family. But when you are in doubt, just do handshake. Mrs. Gravestey
  9. Dan, Yes, everything is on the same name. Did your wife need a visa to Canada or the conditional green card was enough? Thank you
  10. No problem. It's no different than a permanent green card. It just expires sooner. Just make sure you book airline tickets in the same name your passport shows. Warpedbored, Thank you, yes, names are all the same.
  11. Hi guys, how you all doing? As of me, quite settled now and has been driving since last May. I just have a question, i have an emergency back in the Philippines and i need to go home at least 2 weeks, will my 2 year green card/Conditional permanent residence be ok upon returning? In my case as a conditional permanent green card holder, am i allowed to travel abroad? Thank you all.

  13. I am so sorry to hear this also. Let us all be safe...
  14. You've already filed AOS but since you haven't had an interview yet you may be able to make an info pass appointment and change it that way. Otherwise you'll have to legally change your name in court, file an I-90 and pay a $450.00 fee. Many don't have an AOS interview anymore but when my wife and I went through the process it was standard practice. At our interview the IO told us my wife couldn't use her family name as a middle name she could only use her last name, my last name or a hyphenated name ie Smith-Jones. We opted for my last name but when the green card came it was just how we wanted it in the first place. Her family name as middle name and my last name. Mrs Gravestey, since you came on a CR-1 visa you won't have the option of an infopass appointment. You would have to change your name legally in court and file an I-90 or wait until you remove conditions on your green card. Warpedbored: my green card is still arriving, if i decided to change name after green card arrives, will they issue a new green card with new name or as it is? Thank you for the help.
  15. I would keep name at SSA matching what USCIS has, and only change at SSA after name has been changed with USCIS. Best to keep all records in the USA consistent.Dan, i wanna change my name to my married name, is it ok to change now? And if it is, what do we do? Thanks again as always...
  16. On my first visit here, he let me drive his BMW Z4 and almost crashed our neighbors house, who knew it is very fast? Hahaha...Now, he suggested for me to go to the driving school or he will get a heart attack...hahaha...

  20. What do mean didnt match up, like totally different numbers or there were additional numbers?
  21. Hi Randy, yes you have to pay $165 for the USCIS Immigration Visa Processing Fee (instructions attached to the visa packet) after receiving the visa and before entering the United States. It started sometime in February this year, and should be paid online,
  22. Thank you Mick.... By the way, i just checked with my case number concern, and it is just normal, it shows the number or applicants...sorry for the trouble, hehe....
  23. I am talking about the immigrant visa IV Case Number attached on my passport that have 2 added numbers, so it is normal?....and in the paper attached to the packet there is the ''Immigrant Data Summary'' below it says A-Number : A****** , same as urs too? Thank you
