When to apply Adjustment of Status or Removal of Conditions? (confused, sorry if my question is wrong) 4. When to Change my Name? 5. Should i pay the Immigrant fee before flying to the US? Any additional Infos are very much appreciated... AGAIN, THANK YOU ALL!!!! FROM US THE GRAVES!!!
  2. Congrats guys, if u wanna get together pls message me to celebrate....seems like an all approval thread lately here in Candle....well done to all the help and guidelines. Thank you guys....
  3. Hi guys, goodluck...I am staying at Westin nearby the consulate, let me know if you guys wanna meet after a successful interview...
  4. You are basically creating a mailing label that will need to be acceptable to the post office. The address is where it will be mailed to in China - the post office often will not accept addresses written in Pinyin or in English Your name may be written as is - include your phone number. I will be staying in Guangzhou for a week while waiting for the visa if given one, so my hotel address is where it will be mailed? Thanks Randy
  5. Guys i have a question about the EMS thing, the VO said to write it in Chinese? Do i have to write my name in Chinese as well aside from the address or the name will stay as it is? Hahahaha, i know it is a silly question but i just wanna be sure. And do i have to write the hotel's address here in Guangzhou? Thank you for a quick response guys...
  6. With an interview very soon, this isn't the time to get nervous. Everybody's case is different. They just wanted to fill in some more blanks before they give the visa to pbatt's wife. He and she will have things work out good for them, and so will you. Don't worry unnecessarily. tsap seui Thanks Tsap, that actually made me feel so much better...
  7. Oh my, i am so sorry to hear this. Now, it is starting to make me very very nervous...
  8. I am a Filipina, and i am a very proud hygienic woman. We Filipina girls are actually known for being clean and always smelling good...
  9. ???????? hhhmmm... This thread is hilarious...
  10. Congrats on the interview schedule. Did ur appointment letter state Interview Appointment is on March 20, 2013? Even if this said to be the interview date but actually this is the document intake, right? My appointment is 19th, the day before you guys. Goodluck to us...
  11. ITGeniusGuru, Yes, i agree. Different people, different culture, different point of views about marriage. Long or short term relationships are no different, it just depends on how the couple design their own relationship to work...my question to ur statement is, would it best if they had their own choice on who to marry? But anyway, who am i to question their practice.
  12. It is quite understandable, this is exactly the question that goes through the interviewing officer's mind. The best course of action is to develop a relationship over time, building a case load of evidence along the way, and then provide this when filing a petition for a visa. Dnoblett, haha, i deleted this message because i thought it was a bit harsh? I am sorry if i will offend anybody, i didnt mean to.
  13. I agree, Shanghai and Hongkong are very expensive cities to live. Especially if u like high-end lifestyle, u are in for a ride. I live in one of the most expensive areas (XINTIANDI), very good location but very expensive ti keep up, we were actually neighbors with Yao Ming and Jackie Chan. Of course if u dont have the money to level the high-end lifestyle, you have a choice to live a normal lifestyle. You like high class brands, buy somewhere in America or Europe it is a lot cheaper, in Shanghai it is almost double the price due to high added tax, i know that because i am one of the shopaholics, hehehe...but despite Shanghai's expensive living i still love living here, been here for almost half my life, this is where i grew my adult life, but im ready to move on with my married life with my husband.
  14. Hi guys, im still on my docs preparation. What docs to be given on document intake and what docs are we holding when being interviewed to be shown to the Vo? Please share your infos, thank you. Mrs. GravesTey
  15. Tsap Seui: CLUB CANDLE is actually a pretty good name, haha...I think the party is about to kick off...preparing for my best audition in Guangzhou, i hope i will impress them...haha Tsap Seui, would u mind explaining me about P4? Is it only the appointment letter? No forms to fill out? And also please share to me what docs you guys prepared for this? Thank you... From: Rock n Roll princess...... haha
  16. UPDATE FROM MY CASE STATUS I got my interview scheduled for next month through EP. I am confused, is the P4 / ds-1200 only an APPOINTMENT LETTER and no forms to fill out? Do i need to print all the prior electronic forms that we sent to NVC? Or what should i print? Please also share with me guys what docs to bring to the interview for CR-1. Thank u in advance...
  17. HI DOUG, Yes, you are right, this has been really popular for years but now nightlife in Shanghai are more clubbing. Not so many live bands left, mostly sequenced bands like 3-4 piece and the new trend here now is CLUB/DISCO.
  18. Hi Zhou Zhou, thank you for the welcome. No, i am sorry, i believe i didnt work with them. I play with real musicians and artists that specializes like Led Zeplin, Iron Maiden and such. My rhythm section are all guys, all older than me and they are the ''fathers of rock n' roll'' in the Philippines. After our europe concert trip to Germany last year sponsored by Thyssenkrupp and Skoda, we were supposed to tour the U.S but it wasn't as easy as we thought getting in but still hopeful.
  19. To Auronshi: How did the wife's interview go? Hope you can share to ur experience. Thanks
  20. IN CASE U GUYS WONDER, HERE IS OUR STORY: My husband and I began our relationship in 2005. At that time, both husband and I were living and working in Shanghai China. Our relationship continued through 2007, at which point we became engaged and filed the K-1 Petition. The K-1 Petition was approved in 2008 and I came to the United States. During the 3 month visa, his parents asked us if we would wait 1 year to plan a wedding. We obliged their request and i departed the United States prior to the expiration of my visa. From 2008 to 2009, husband and I attempted to plan a wedding at my native country, Philippines. However, his family did not honor their promise to support our plans and our marriage. Both badly hurt, we spent time apart from 2010 to early 2011, but always remained in contact. We began our relationship again in 2011 with a commitment to marry. In July 2012, he went to China and we were married at the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau Marriage Registrar. We had a very unforgetful history but that experience give us now our relationship foundation stronger than ever. Mrs. GravesTey
  21. Hi guys, thank you for the warm welcome. I have been performing (rock band) around Japan, China and Europe but stayed longer in China, mainly Shanghai because i saw very good opportunities. I just love it here, especially living in Xintiandi area. I hope to get the schedule sooner. Will keep you guys posted for updates Mrs. GravesTey
  22. Everyone, I hope you guys could share your infos regarding the CR-1 interview and the docs. Yesterday after 2 checklists of our marriage certificate we actually made it to close the case, that was what the operator said. It was all the same notarization, but i think the first one wasn't clear because it was scanned black and white. We are doing EP. Will they send us an email regarding the closed case? And how long do u think it will take after yesterday's call? They said to now forward it to Guangzhou Consulate, what is the timeframe of the interview schedule? Hope you guys won't hesitate to share your knowledge, Thank you so much! Mrs. GravesTey
  23. Yes, i am a Filipina and i have been living in Shanghai for almost 8 years now...
