  1. Thank you õ¹å²Ý, You have been very helpful in confirming our plan for the medical. The tips you offered were valuable!! I didn't even think about making a copy of her passport for her vaccination It's good to know about the Vili My fiancee found the Jianguo hotel on eLong.com, which I was able to confirm on expedia.com. We've made reservations at the Jianguo, which is a block north of the consulate in the direction of the train station from what we can tell from the map. We'll keep the Vili in mind, since the room rate is half of that of the Jianguo. But the Jianguo is half of what the Westin charges
  2. Thank you õ¹å²Ý I enjoyed reading your post http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?/topic/43494-my-interview/page__p__575373 about your interview experience, and thank you for the information about vaccination after interview! I'm going to be in Guangzhou during my fiancee's interview. Prior to reading your post, she called Guangzhou United Family Clinic and confirmed they're open on weekends, so we planned to be in Guangzhou on Saturday and she'll do her medical in the afternoon and get the report the same day if we're there before 3:30pm. It's very good to know that you did the same, so I want to thank you for confirming that. Also, we thought about getting her shots after her interview which you did So you have provided us with 2 great pieces of confirmation, and I greatly appreciate it!! We figured, if she doesn't pass her interview, she doesn't need to endure the pain from the shots Thank you once again, and hope to hear from you again soon!!
  3. That's very good information, thank you!! My fiancee's interview is on a Tuesday, so I hope she'll get her visa on Friday or Saturday that week at the post office. Have a good trip home!!

I hope you'll get your passport and visa soon. Please keep us posted so we can have an idea of when to expect hers Thank you again!!

  13. Tom, You're moving at the speed of light compared to my case You'll do just fine!! Good luck to you and your SO! She'll do a great job at the interview with you accompanying her in Guangzhou! Looking forward to hearing your good news!!
  14. Don, thanks for mentioning the option of vaccination after k-1 interview. I think it's a great idea since some people may react to certain shots. Did your wife have any reaction after the shots? I assume her arm was sore from the shots a couple days after.
  15. Marc, Your website's contact page still has your Gmail address
  16. Thank you Dan, your reply and NVC link are helpful!
  17. I'm probably 2 to 3 months from my k-1 NOA2 (P2), but I downloaded and studied the OF-169. Near the bottom of the form is a line for "case number". Questions: What is the case number? What does it look like (what prefix?). I saw mention of GUZ and GZO numbers. Which is it for k-1? When and where do I get assigned this case number? I'm hoping to fill out the DS-230 and OF-169 on my computer, print them out, then EMS to my fiancee to sign and mail to Guangzhou consulate when the time comes, so I'm trying to gauge the turnaround time required for this part of the process. Thank you
  18. Dan, What address(es) did you use on her G-325a under "Applicant's residence last five years"? Did you list her dorm address as one of the entries or did you use her mother's address throughout? Thank you! Mother's address through out, the dorm was much like a hotel, a temporary address, my wife's home was always her mother's home. The School/work was in a town about 40km from her home, and she spent breaks and most weekends at her home. Dan, That's very reassuring. We interpreted "Applicant's residence" as "mailing address" as well. Thank you
  19. Dan, What address(es) did you use on her G-325a under "Applicant's residence last five years"? Did you list her dorm address as one of the entries or did you use her mother's address throughout? Thank you!
  20. xiaozhu, That is very reassuring. I am confident that my tax transcripts for the past 3 years and W-2's are sufficient to show that I am financially capable of supporting my future family. I will include pay stubs, but I prefer not to ask my employer for a letter of employment because I don't want to explain the purpose of this letter to my HR manager if I don't have to. Thank you once again.
  21. xiaozhu, Thank you for your very detail account. Mine is a k-1 petition, so I'll be submitting an I-134. I've got my last 3 years' tax transcripts from the IRS ready for my SO's interview (who knows when). Some people say in addition to the tax returns or transcripts, I need to submit W-2's and pay stubs too. But I also read somewhere (maybe in the I-184 instructions) that if I submit IRS tax transcripts then I don't have to submit W-2's. Questions: (1) Did you submit your husband's tax returns or IRS tax transcripts for the last 3 years? (2) Did you submit your husband's W-2's and pay stubs along with his tax returns/transcripts? Thank you!
  22. Mike, Thank you once again for sharing your experience and valuable advice. Per your advice, I will write a letter explaining my previous marriage, and fully prepare my fiancee with information you mentioned. Bobby
  23. Mike, Congratulations and thank you for sharing your wife's interview experience. I had a divorce and filing for k-1. When you have a moment, could you please share some of the questions the VO or CO asked your wife about your ex-wives. I hope to gain some knowledge from your wife's experience in order to prepare my fiancee for her interview. Thank you!
  24. Jon, Congratulations on your fiancee's visa approval!! Thank you for your extensive consulate review over at VisaJourney: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=7213 It was very informative and helpful to me!!
