About United Family , they are good clinic but when they are small ; I m not sure how up to date they are with assays and test kits. I peaked around when I was there. It seems that their lab is very small. They don't have the big lab that major Chinese hospitals in Guangzhou has . Once in a while , a shock like this may happen, unfortunately , but, after retest , it was concluded to be a false positive. My wife had similar experience. The only difference is I was glad to be there , otherwise , it would have taken her a long time to go through this process since there are not that many Chinese speaking officers . There probably was one but he was probably busy taking care of the tourists and visiting students . Well, finaly it justifies my spending $2000 to go to GZ .

Jes, it's so damn expensive nowdays. When we took PEK to ORD , man , a lot of visiting high school students from wealthy Chinese parents. Good thing was I got bumped to the business class. I spent $1600 for Lao Po 's ticket one way. I was upset . But, after arrival in ORD , felt I made the right decision. She speaks no English , it'd have been a trouble and taken a long time to await for a Mandarin speaking officer to come out to process her greencard papers. I don't know why we don't consider Mandarin to be the most important foreign language to study in the United States , instead of Spanish . China has the strongest economy today in the world .

This is weird if she's not even working. My wife is not working and was a clerk so she needed not to provide ANY resume. GZ asks for detailed resume if the Chinese works in technical field . What's her background ? anything involved in high security area ? past or present . based on the biography section in DS 230 she submitted .

I want to personally thank members of the CFL family . The journey is essentially done til another 2 years when we have to file CR1 removal . So, on and on, when I got a little upset of spending over $2000 , I'm reminded of my red neck colleagues in South Carolina who wouldn't give a sh*t of coming to China , how would they feel if they suddenly is asked to do all of these plus get on the plane for 15 hours ride to the new world ? My red neck assitant in SC told me there's no way she would go to China .Even, in the US, people have a hard time understanding her hillbilly tongue , let alone go to China. So, with that in mind, I yielded and came here . For all of these worth, PRC is an incredible place . Still freshly remmeber back in the 80's, those poor visiting scholars at the U. Wisconsin Madison , post cultural revolution scientists, poor , saved a lot of $ , gathered at the biggest TV/Electronic store in town at the end of their term to buy tv's, fridgs, stereos, AC's,etc... to bring back to China. Today, when I lined up in GZ , saw hundreds of 16-18 yrs kids , from well of parents, products of my uncle Deng Xiao Ping 1 child policy , applying for 1 month college tour visas to the USA . Parents is ready to spend at least $5000 for this visit to my good uncle sammy . How many families in my red neck SC town can afford this ??? We painted the pictures ladies who married lao wai are poor girls with kids . not necessarily , many of whom are richer than the lao wai themselves . Well, to my uncle Deng, I have to say , " to be rich is glorious " you 're right uncle .... Today, PRC is still running your policy even you've been gone more than a decade ago.

agree with that. You may try to submit EOR letter during document collection time ( 1st day ). They may or may not want to take it . They pick and choose which documents they want to take on that day.

Actually, it was issued on the same day of the interview , a few hours after passing the interview. Now, she wants to go to the US the same day with me . Ticket is very expensive . Please bring all three years during the documents intake . They require all three years. They also took my employment letter, and pay stub .

This is the bulldawg reporting from GZ. Very happy day, my laopo easily got her pink . She didn't get called til almost noon time , so as time weant by, I became more relaxed since my assumption is they called first difficult cases and left easy cases til later . Just standard interview questions . My laopo spoke Mandarin through out . The officer asked her a few standard questions such as when we met , how often I came to see her , my job and of course she asked how I learned to speak Mandarin. Asked for pictures and she showed her a few . 2 minutes interview, Passed ! then, by the way, are you CCP? of course, not. There are 4 officers and two supervisors. Since I am a Mandarin speaking guy , I was able to speak to the security guard and learned a few things. It seems to me that they have to be mean & yelling at these Chinese because otherwise they won't be taken seriously .As you all know Chinese culture cuts lines,etc... Otherwise, they are very nice guy. One guy , he was an ex Chinese Navy Seal . He said he wish one day he can come to the United States and join the US military . He's not affraid of killing terrorist or get killed as long as he gets paid well since he knows US military pay much better salary and benefit than Chinese counterpart. He also told me that he respects American Laws. For examples, everyday , there are a lot of intending immigrants under family visa category ( eg. parents, brothers,etc... ) ; many of them are poor & stinky , they don't speak nor read Mandarin , they are from farm lands in Fujian,etc.... , although American officers look down at them , but, they must issue them visas because they meet all the requirements . In United States, personal prejudice can't override the laws. That's why he respects American legal system. WOW, I am proud to hear this as an American. Spouse visa applicants , about 10 -20 perday , sometimes more . K's applicants are about the same. Others are family visas ,eg. parents, bros, sis... Today, I saw a lot of visiting students ; they want to come to the US for 1 months visiting US colleges ( like a group tour ) . One person 30,000 Yuan . With one child policy , Chinese parents really have money now to spoil their kids. I spoke with a few Chinese ladies who applied for CR /IR visas . No problem uncle Tsap. Yes, those shots are rough. She may get ill for 1 - 2 days . My laopo arm is swollen and painful. Today, we went to see the doc at the United Hospital to check if it is not going to be a cellulitis . I didn't know that K1 doesn't need the shot . Lao po told me that the Xray is different for K1 vs IR /CR1 ??? All the best to you . Would love to meet other members as well once we are done .

On the question #1 & #2 : have you been to america , have you been to any other country before ? I notice that these questions are not always asked but sometimes asked. Anyone wants to comment the reasons why ? eg. prior record of deportation from the US ? ( USCIS has this record and they would have caught it during I-130 phase ). how about other countries? doesn't seem that matters since it has nothing to do with US immigration laws ? maybe terrorism ?

I think they will ONLY do that when there is a reason for doing so ,eg. suspecting a fraud or intent to use the marriage as a bridge for immigration purpose only . They got a s*it load of cases to be bothered with everyone's ex's . I think it's case by case only.
