The whole discussion on Carbon impact moves the focus from items that are probable more important. SOx and NOx and particulate matter (ash). Alcohol will be cleaner for all of these and that will help the country quite a bit. Now we just need to learn how to store carbon in ocean water and in the land, to finish the cleaning of the air after will deal with the more critical first three.

I doubt the people driving biofuels really cares about the Carbon impact. Most of this is being driven by the desire to find a source of fuel that the middle east does not control. The driver is cost and National Security, we all want to find a way to produce fuel cheaper than oil from a local material. These early pilot programs are not expected to be cheaper, but to help develop the infrastructure needed to get to the point of having a cheaper alternative to oil. The cost are coming down, i have seen some very encouraging numbers on the cost side. Plus, do you really want the middle east to have so much power over everyones lives? In a perfect process and raw materials and with the best results it might be possible to produce these fuels with a lower carbon footprint, but we are no where near that right now and many things still need to proven before i believe those claims.

The number of times you visit is important. I am not sure how important. They did ask my fiance, now wife, how many times did i visit and photos from those visit.

I want to teach at a chinese university and/or consult for chinese companies. They can handle the visa issues and sign the papers i need signed. That is one of the only ways i know to get the longer visas and to not worry about them renewing the visas. Anyone else have additional ideas? Besides working at a tire factory?

Psst Psst Believe me,employers would be willing to hire without any documentation,but she would never accept one of THOSE kind of jobs. I am not sure when i tcomes, but i think fairly quick. Maybe 1.5 more months. I am also in this waiting game. She has her SSN, but the card says need additional documents for work. So I have her waiting right now. She is happy if i am home, but when i travel she does not like it.

I guess the best way to minimize the time is to have all the documents for the P3 filled out and send them in as soon as you know the P3 is shipped to you. This method can shorten the total time some.

My wife was really worried about leaving money in china and we decided that the only path to still have some money left for after we retire was to invest, but the market is way to risky without constant mointoring. The answer was some houses. We took the money and bought an aditionally house. That way we at least move with the standard of living in China. My feeling was that money able to buy a house today put in bank will not buy house in 10 years.

I agree Roger, I have always veiwed the houses as a place holder and an investment. Not the acutal home i might live in. Many locations can pop up as nice. I have traveled a fair amout over asia for work. I think many locations will be great.

The rebate is 300-600 husband, and 300-600 wife for a total of 1200, children are not counted. I think the final bill had 300 per child added to it.
