  1. I don't want to reopen any wounds. I only ask to stop anyother people from going through the same deal. Did you find out the reason for the first denial?
  2. Not mini faster 134 is a "lite" 864. They are used for different purposes. 864 would outrank the 134 in so far as it requires more info.
  3. The bags are not the concern at this point. Once she's there it all will be fine.
  4. The difference between the two. The 134 is like a mini 864. Unless someone comes along to correct me. Financials "generally" move quickly.
  5. Jaseball, Don't worry, it's just government speak Use the [C] [9] and don't worry about the time. I/we filed a few months after K-1 expired. As long as you are married within the 90 days you're golden.
  6. Got it done yesterday, boy it was a pricey day. $60 money order, $28 for parking, $10 for photos, $18[? COD on credit card] Fed Ex envelope, $5.85 small frozen yogurt, $.75 metered parking for $45 hot pot. I looked over at her sleeping on the way back in stop and go rush hour traffic and thought PRICELESS
  7. Did you mail the RFE packet to GUZ? If your SO takes it there there used to be a two day wait. That is to say no interview, she drops it off and they say come back in two days for the results.
  8. Okay what happened, egolessvegan? Li and I go tomorrow and was checking to make sure I remembered every thing from the thread. Any advice?
  9. Good question. You may never be notified by USCIS that they have received the file and it may expire[time-out] by itself. Maybe make a few copies of a letter stating your intent to abandon the K-1 and that you're filing the K-3 for the same person. Send one to the head of whatever office you file through and put one in with the K-3. If you know why the denial make sure to deal with it. Front-load the heck out of the next one so GUZ doesn't have a reason to do it again.
  10. Wonder if anything was said behind closed doors about holding off on repayment?
  11. okie2, GUZ aint Moscow. GUZ handles the whole country of China. Russia is much smaller and has many more consulates dealing with immigration. I'm not making excuses mind you, snail mail will probably beat the updates.
  12. I'm a little rusty, but fear of leaving? May the next go around only mean one trip for you!
  13. What else would China say? Even if they don't like our approach, what are their options? Saying anything more would be meddling in our internal affairs, and we all know China's' track record on that. The debt they own isn't like a bad business deal they can deduct on taxes.
  14. Tell me you're joking I got the cheapest ones and figured "they" would replace them with the chrome-plated government issued ones.
  15. Got it the second time around. Lemonade out of lemons. Didn't understand the voice-over, but I could see that she is a great women from the video.
  16. Ours was punched and tabbed. If nothing else I found it therapeutic and an easy way to "check" every thing off. Kept me busy and killed time.
  17. It depends on the airport of entry for your SO. Where ever she goes through Customs will be POE.
  18. It seems weird, but this is a good thing. The processing time is faster[?] in Cali, so the wait should be less for you.
  19. Good luck explaining migratory bird laws to your wife Federal, state and local game laws. Hunting license etc.
  20. No flaming hoop? Anticlimactic. Drag the kitchen sink along anyway
  21. Don't worry, "they" don't have the staff I know it's not a joke but don't worry.
  22. Little doubt of that DavidZ. Look at the volume and staffing. Intentional or not it happens. Just a thought, how would you like to be a VO in Havana when it happens? Lunacy I say. The system is broke. I've got a extra deal on my toolbar right now for the "Green Card Lotto" sponsored by USCIS.
