  1. You're gettin close to the number of I-797s[?] we've got Touches don't mean squat to a tree. Now it sounds like they're throwing ya a well deserved pass.
  2. I might be off-base, but why wait for ACH? This sounds like a perfect reason to question why the VO didn't accept the evidence. Can't an appointment be made outside of ACH?
  3. IMHO whatever you decide to do reply to the letter. State you're abandoning the K-1 and will reapply after marriage, send a letter rebutting the VOs finding or just abandon it. You don't want it hanging over your head.
  4. Cars or cartoons. It's all about keeping the benjamins at home.
  5. heyjimi, Nothing in life is guaranteed but for what it's worth, I feel good about it. Hang tough and don't settle for less.
  6. rogerinca brought up a good brief from the Consulate. I think what you want to know is can you get the info into the packet BEFORE the interview, right? Go and try, beats getting a blue. IMHO when you go to ACH with documents to get checked out and ask about the process things run much smoother. Getting your foot in the door shows concern on your part.
  7. I get the let them work attitude I want to do even more! In the end I went with the "Erics famous" route. After the BS I didn't want anymore.
  8. JBHypno, Our filing status was different and many moons ago. All my advice is outdated and wouldn't apply. The best I can say is good luck and don't let Guz get you or the SO down. She needs a rock, be there for her.
  9. The medical packet[for us]had the doc's name and the wifes' stamped on it. No holes in it, just made sure there was a stickey tab on it. That was noted in the cover letter for the AOS.
  10. dale7570, Isn't it nice to have something go smooth?
  11. jp2008, All of your paperwork should be current and valid. You are K-1, less than a year from interview. Have the SO take the passport and hope for the best.
  12. The e-mail is usually ahead of the snail mail. It will happen, don't worry.
  13. obxtrainman, Did you get some kind of extension for the two year?
  14. No dates are necessary. Just put down generic stuff. We used going back for a christening. Don't lock yourself in with dates, leave times vague with a " trip to be determined if granted".
  15. I got the advise to send a small amount of money monthly and keep the receipts for proof if asked. B-day cards, holiday cards etc. Back- up in case of a Blue.
  16. All I can say is I got here. No lock down yet.
  17. I hope you DON'T get another blue. If so,go.
  18. China won't do anything that will raise the price. They are more worrried about keeping their own people working.
  19. I don't want BrokenHeart to think I'm second guessing his way of going about this. My heart goes out to him and everyone who's chain is yanked. IMHO if you are denied find out why and resolve the problem. If you can't, go through the same consulate and refile.
  20. IF, and I say IF, I would ever do it again I would do more research. This isn't like getting a fishing licence. tsap has it right.
  21. From what I understand from the OP he wasn't let in.
  22. I don't think it's validity of the marriage that's the question. The DOS giving the visa for the US is the sticking point.
  23. The ugly not bonifide rears its head again. I'm not taking the DOS side here but you're in a pickle. They tripped you up twice from two different consulates, right? IMHO take every piece of paperwork from both cases and the kitchen sink to GUZ. Get as high up the chain of command you can and start asking questions. What do we need to do to get this thing moving. The HK thing was NOT meant to be an end run.
  24. Not us. We got one. The dates matched the other ones. Time for an info-pass?
