1. http://www.nyconsulate.prchina.org/eng/notice/t272135.htm Not sure what this means. Recently sent in "affidavit of single status" papers.
2. This is the link that made me concerned. http://www.ilw.com/articles/2006,0323-ellis.shtm I guess I'm concerned that my past relationship might raise a flag. I'm confident I did fill the papers out correctly which affirmed I had a prior petition approved. Plus I spoke of the past relationship briefly when explaining my current marriage in a letter. I guess I will make all of this information available to my wife. she is quite aware of everything, so, nothing will be a surprise to her. After looking at the link I think there may be a red flag in the future for me 1. A very brief courtship followed by a plunge into matrimony; 2. A marriage ceremony arranged only a short time after petitioner arrives in the beneficiary¡¯s country and they meet for the first time; I have known my fiancee for about a year and will see her for the first time in person(web cam everyday) in Nov and we will marry. am I headed for trouble, my divorce was 16 yrs ago and hers was finalized 3/06 after starting it over 2 yrs ago. The red flag I see in your case is that your started up your relationship with your SO while she was still married. If I were you, I would be prepared with proof of her former spouse's whereabouts, if possible. An online courtship of nearly a year is far longer than mine and many others. Have and prove a bonafide relationship and you have it made, IMO. That was the problem, ex could not be found by inept lawyer after SO filed for divorce and she had to wait for new lawyer to get it done. Initially ex would not sign and then never repsonded to whereabouts. as for proof of bonafide relationship. 1. copy of monthly phone bills with SO calls 2. cards and gifts we have exchanged with packages/envelopes for addresses 3. web cam pics (Prt SC) with date and times, at least one for every month 4. Also web cam pics with SO talking to my son 5. at last count, 54 emails. 6. my ex said she would supply any info needed. I have already met family on webcam and will get PrtSc pic also soon, wedding pics, and if needed a video since she has sony handi cam. also, she leaves UAE Sun to move home to Tinjian with UAE POLICE CERTIFICATE.

4. I called Vermont Service Center about I130 questions. One of which is police certificate. My fiancee has been working in Dubai for about 6 years on and off. VSC only wants a police certificate from her Hukou. another item was about my 13 yr old step daughter and her signing documents, they want mother to sign. VSC was very helpful and patient with me.
5. My fiancee has been working in dubai for about 5 yrs, her hukou is tinjian. Is police certicate from Tinjian sufficent for I130? will she need one from dubai? In english and then translated to chinese? thanks
6. Is the child's birth certificate also translated to english?
7. As I said in my original post: I am filling out this form for step daughter for practice to hopefully prevent any mistakes. I will fill them both out at same time come november. I am a little worried about her getting all these future documents to fill out/sign at her boarding school where her address will not be the same as her home/mom's address. If you plan ahead AND use these shortcuts, you can avoid almost if not all form "filling out" by both your wife and step-daughter for CR1/2. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117 Get multiple copies of the forms "signed" when you are in China then you can do all the filling out. I would also use your wife's address for your step-daughter. If anything then needs to be forwarded to her, your wife can do it. This should take care of everthing but the P4 documents. If you will will be there for the interview, then you can fill those out too. We are definitley going CR1/2. what forms should I bring besides 130, g325a and is it ok to bring through customs in china? never been there yet but will be in Nov and for interview. The forms are listed at the link I gave you. Take as many copies with you as you choose. Get them all signed. Will my step daughter get a ds230?

11. Assuming your step-daughter is childless and single you write "none". For you wife, you list yourself as husband and any and all of your wife's children. The daughter is only 13 years old. I would think she is just a child! I went back and looked at my stepdaughter's I-130. She was only 13 at the time, too. For #17 of the I-130 I'd seen that I put N/A. It went through with no problems. There's no set rules on how to fill the form out other than the intructions accompanying it. There is some leeway involved. That's the point I'm trying to make. Assumptions and dictations are not appealing. To the OP: After inquiring about information, use whatever makes sense and is reasonable to you when filling these forms out. -good luck thanks, do you know which and how many forms step-daughter will need to fill out in this process?
12. Was your wife confident enough to answer questions in English. My wife is worried and terrified at this scenario. Her English skills are limited; she understands more English than she can speak. I keep reassuring her that we will prepared and that I will be there waiting outside the Consulate building supporting her. She just needs a boost in confidence. I keep telling her not to worry, that her English skills will improve with the classes she is attending and, of course, as you all have experienced; TIME! Thanks again for all your support! With myself and SO on webcam we go to websites (usually my motocross racing sites hah!) or news sites and she reads them to me and when she has a problem she types into IM. when I first meet her, alot of IM, now we just sit at webcam and talk with just about no typing.
13. I am filling out this form for step daughter for practice to hopefully prevent any mistakes. Anyways, in section c "info about alien relative" #17 it says to list husband/wife and all children of your relative. what names do I put there? on the form for wife I listed wife name and daughter name, just not sure about form for daughter who is 13yrs old. thanks for responses. also, c'mon New Yorkers (if any) we must keep up with those Texans passed interviews!
14. My divorce was 16yrs ago. My fiancee's was in May of this year and she started the proceedings 3yrs ago (ex did not want to sign and made it a big run around). Will her short time of divorce and our marriage in november be a problem come interview time? thanks
15. You did not need an "affidavit of single status"? also, I have my divorce degree certified by state of NY. Do i just send to to chinese consulate here in NY with their application form? thanks
16. When you are filling out forms or even a cover letter, does wife(laopo) now use your last name? I was going use the name that is on her ID card and Hukou to keep consistent with background through CR1 process. thanks also, to everyone, I will start practice on filling out forms before going to Tinjian (marriage Nov.) so I will say my apologies now for a alot of possible questions of help.
17. yes, we will wait out CR1. but back to one of my original questions,Do i still need to file the 129F? thx
18. Rick gave you some good suggestions. I'll address the issue of coming back for an interview. If you file an I-129F and your wife comes to the USA on a K3 visa, she'll get here sooner, much sooner. Then you have two options. Adjust status in the USA or continue to follow the CR1 visa route and return to China for an interview. Most choose to drop the CR1 process once the K3 catches us and surges ahead, then they choose to simply adjust status in the US without returning to China. 235961 so, my gf and her daughter came come on k3/k4 and stay here without going back to china for an interview? another item is she wants to start work immediately since she and her sisters send home money to take care of their parents in their 70's. she will not take any money from me to help out. I had thought a k3/k4 (daughter 14) meant that she would have to go back for interview. 236006 Like I said, going back for interview is an option, not a requirement. It does generally take longer to get authorization to work on a K3 visa though. Others can address that better than I can. If there are other reasons to consider not filing for K3, why not mention them now? 236009 that is great! i will let her know not to worry about an interview.
