I called them today, it says NVC closed today . Anyone knows why ? I'm very disappointed at their work. Soooo sloww... .

My income based on my W-2 is qualified to submit form 1-864EZ. According to the letter they sent to me, my income should be matched 1040 form. I sent 1040 form with my W-2. My questions : 1. I have joint tax return ( my husband ). If I follow their requirement , I should fill it with the amount in 1040 which both of us. 2. there are three numbers in the first page of 1040 form show the income, (1) is wage, salaries... (2) is total income... (3) is adjusted gross income. Which one should I fill in? In the letter says, if you filed form 1040EZ , use the adjusted gross income instead. My is 1040 form.

If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead I filled out that section with my gross income based on my W2. because I thought it's 1-864EZ form means I'm the only one sponsor. In 1040EZ , it's My husband's and my income together, we file joint tax return every year. Should I fill it out with the adjusted gross income of both of us ?

We are waiting for the interview letter from NVC. I wonder we will get it from mail or email.

Why would you bother? What did you see that was different? The case number changed from GUZ to GZO and mail address has been changed , too.

After I submitted the last email which include everything they required, and paid $325 for ds-260 form, I found out the cover sheet had been changed. I wonder if I have to send the documents with new cover sheet again ?

I got the response from nvc below: This correspondence is also to notify you that the principal applicant's case number was changed. The new case number starts with GZO (instead of GUZ) and is followed by a new set of ten numbers. This change was made to identify the case for both the NVC and the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, China as participating in the Optional Electronic Processing Program. Please refer to the case number given below in all future correspondence with the NVC and the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou. Now I don't know should I send them the documents again with new case number ? Or I have to contact them with new case number somehow ?

I sent all of the documents with cover sheets to NVCelectrionic last night , I didn,t get any response from them, and didn't get failure delivery either. I called nvc , she told me she couldn't tell if they received it or not, then asked me if anything else she could help. I saiid the only thing I need you to help to make sue if you received my documents or not . She asked her superviser,then told me they didn't send response. I asked her would I received a response later , she told me she didn't know. I was so dispointed at that answer , in the end she said she was sure they had it . I wonder what's going on ? Did anyone have the same experience ? I mean you sent the documents didn,t get any auto message back?

The Consulate used to require that you provide the telegraphic code for the Chinese characters to remove any ambiguity. In any event, Lu, Lv, and Lyu are different Westernized versions of the SAME Chinese name. The current Chinese pinyin representation is 'Lu'. My wife's family name is Wu or Ng, depending on whether you speak Mandarin or Cantonese. My question is : different pinyin in passport and birth certificate , will it be a problem ?

Chinese pinyin for last name there is no that last letter in keyboard, years ago people type " u " istead, later , "v" instead, since last year 2013 change to "yu" instead. Here is a problem , in original application is was " LU" , in the passport is " LV" , in the birth certificate is " Lyu" What I can do about it? I was ready to send all of documents , but the problem of different pinyin scared me to send out.

Merry Christmas ! One more question about the supporting documents. Except photographs ( 21x21), photocopies and translations are on the supporting documents list ,too, but they are not be found on nvc website, I wonder what photocopies We also need to send to them. Thanks!

How did you send the two photos 21x21 through email? I mean did you send them one digital photo or two photocopies as PDF image?

21x21 two photos are required to send with documents . How to send them by email?

After this whole mess with the email thing i and reading this guote a few more times i realized it was not saying anything about the email it self but the Attachments need to be below 5MB and says nothing about how many you can send at one time. So i took a chance and sent ALL files i had in One email. Each FILE was 5MB or below. I sent one email for the wife and one email for step son. Each email sent had well over 5MB and closer to 40-45MB but EACH FILE sent in one email was below the 5MB rule. You might want to look at this thread. Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups

When scanning documents most scanners provide an option to pause between pages so you can scan everything into one file. You use either I-864 or I-864EZ I-864EZ can be used in cases where: You dont need to add assets to qualifyYou dont need a joint sponsorAND; You are sponsoring only one immigrant.If you dont meet all in the the above list then use I-864 I meet I-864EZ , but on the instruction in the receipt there is no I-864EZ, can I still choose it ?

There are some different 1-864 forms, will NVC tell you which one is right for you to fill out ?
