  1. Well after completing ALL! this paper work and converting all papers to PDF. This is the error we now get when trying to sent to: nvcdocuments@state.gov This Fu***ing government we live in can just bit my ass. And this error: As i just said WTF! My POS 1000$ server i run for my home business could run The U.S. better than this crap. OK!! I'm done ranting now? Feel a little better: NOT! Been trying to sent all AOS and supporting documents to the NVC site and the error above is what i/we get. What has our world come to when you/we can't sent a simple email.
  2. As you might have known, before, if you want electronic processing with NVC, i.e. sending all documents thru email, you must first send NVC a "opt-in" email. NVC will then change your case number from "GUZ" to "GZO" and you go from there. Today, I just checked the NVC web page regarding document processing, see below: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html#method1 It seems the language regarding "opt-in" is distinctively missing from the web page. Does this mean that you no longer need to send them the "opt-in" email anymore? You can just send them the document thru email, directly? Thanks.
  3. After I submitted the last email which include everything they required, and paid $325 for ds-260 form, I found out the cover sheet had been changed. I wonder if I have to send the documents with new cover sheet again ?
  4. We got NVC welcome letter, and there is a document cover sheet in it. I wonder what documents we need to prepare , I know I can follow the instruction to do it step by step, just want to know it advance. The case is FB2, it's being proceeding. Thanks !
  5. hi, after paying the fees. i am submitting supporting documents. pictures and proof of our relationship was turned in, along with our marriage certificate and our divorce papers. am i to resubmit these papers at this time? can i submit pictures from recent time together and / or conversations since i turned in the petition?
  6. Well IV payment just show up on the CEAC site for both wife and step son. (payment was made today online) Once payment clears will start the DS-260 online. BTW: AOS fee was payed long ago. We will soon be ready to summit all documents (I-864,tax transcripts and all supporting documents) Now per the NVC for scanning and sending of said documents. Notice it says ONE packet! Then it goes onto say. MUST BE BELOW 5MB The marriage cert alone is 5.76mb and is a PDF. How am i going to sent all these documents in ONE packet and keep them below 5mb?
  7. thank you for your response and information. i also have to say thank you for all your help thus far. it has been very helpful to us. i will definately scan and email. Will I need to submit the cover sheet as well with the I-864? Also, some of the douments that are listed on the cover sheet, i have previously submitted. Do i just mark the cover sheet as not applicable? I am currently visiting my wife for a second time. Can we submit pictures taken from this trip as well? Alsowhen will we receive our Alien registration number
  8. Hello everyone, I think I am going to be a semi-regular here off and on until I can finish my cousin's apps. I have recently taken over handing his paperwork. The older gentleman who is supposed to be a veteran at this is too old and forgetful. NVC keeps sending back materials. Eventually, I would like to learn the whole process of how to apply. I am not sure how to begin since I am kind of confused and he does not know what happened exactly himself. That and he is a recent immigrant himself and my communication ability with him is limited meaning I speak Chinese at a very elementary level. So, he is applying for a visa. It has been green-lit I assume. NVC was processing under a GUZ number. The lastest emails he gave me from October show that there were a lot of problems with missing info on the I-864, Affidavit of support, along with other missing support documents. The directions are to send the documents via snail mail and use the included cover sheet with snail mail OR electronically which requires a subject line with the case number. The NVC website tells you to OPT-IN before sending files to them through pdf format. At this point, I have no idea if they chose Electronic Processing or not. The I-864 has a GZO number and a GUZ number in parentheses. The snail mail packet of documents sent are returned with a letter stating that this case is going through electronic processing now. All of the documents need to be scanned and submitted that way. So, piecing it together I assumed these things: 1. A GUZ number is converted to a GZO number when electronic processing is chosen. 2. You have to OPT-IN before you can start sending PDF files, even if you have chosen Electronic Processing. Is this about right? I have no idea and he doesnt know what happened and the old man who did it insists that they should still be mailing it in, even though his attempt the first time was sent back with directions to scan and email it. I stupidly scanned them and submitted them via email recently. But, I am guessing since I didn't OPT-IN and more than likely, they did not opt-in, that I need to: 1. Opt-in 2. Send them pdfs again. I hope someone who has done this process or going through can give me some hints on the steps needed. Thanks in advance.
  9. Brought up a couple of times in the forums. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2993.html#4 Over the past year or so USCIS has been tying the two petitions together and approving them at the same time, and sending both to NVC at the same time. The above statement by DOS makes sense, the whole reason the "Life-ACT" K-3 was developed was for the Spouse of US citizen to be able to enter the USA and WAIT for I-130 approval, at the time K-3 was developed the I-130 was taking a VERY long time to process through USCIS to approval, and the I-129F for non-immigrant fiance visa was fairly quick, so it was setup so that a spouse waiting for approval of their visa petition can be treated like a fiancee and come to the USA in about the same time as a fiancee. I guess all the extra fees paid to USCIS has actually resulted in some improvement in service, the I-130 no longer is taking years to approve so the K-3 is starting to become a thing of the past.[/url]
