Today got reply of my inquire for my case after 3 months from my interview : "Your case is under review by a Consular officer. We will contact you when your case is ready for continued processing." Does it mean my case improve a little bit? This is a little diffrent from 2 months ago, DOS told us we were under security check, now it is under review, that means check finished, moved to next step? I hope so.If really so, maybe I will get some good news in a month.

Mama bear, do you know if the cost has been lowered or is it still 800rmb? The rmb keeps on rising against the USD. 800rmb is more than $100USD now. It is still , bank always change it slower than RMB's rising. You can pay us$ to avoide the losing from exchange.

Paula's case really did encourage me, at least I know how long it needs and what kind of process it will be,but there is still some diffrence between us, I involved, not like her formerly involved. Called DOS last night, the news is better than last time. last time DOS said "pending", this time the reply is very nice and indetails,said everything is fine with my case, just security check, it needs 3-4 months, I am looking forward to finishing it in March or April. I am so glad to hear this plus Papa bear maybe is on the way to airport now, his flight in early morning on 6th Dec.He will be here very soon in 25 hours.

Any one from CITIC bank branches in Beijing should be ok, there are so many cases payed in BJ. Your SO can pay it at the nearby CITIC bank after her medicail exam at Yansha near 3rd ring road south west Yansha Bridge,in the buildling "JING CHENG DASHA", 1st floor.

Recently very hard to call and make a pointment, GUZ didn't open the quota for cr1 only date for k1. Some one already payed several hundreds yuan to buy card to make the pointment but failed. The freshest information is the quota opened for cr1 today! A lady who's CR1 interivewed on 1 nov. ,called 4008 almost 1 months, finally got apointment today, date on 3 Jan 2007, it was not open even till this morniNg at about 10am , she got it at about lunch time. So let you SO keep trying, but really need a lot money.

It is NVC to mail the P3 packet to the agent, I guess if the agent is herself in china it stil mail it in english, that is becase I got my 3032 in Beijing from NVC is in English In a CR1 application, GZ uses Chinese for the address to mail the P4 packet to her. CR1 is a visa for spouse who married less than 2 years. It is both ok in either English or Chinese in big cities,post office wil translate it, Papa bear only wrote English, and I got every mail from him. But if in small city or rural area, you'd better write both English and Chinese. You can type it out and stick it on the envelop.

Congrats! You will get your P4 soon after name check. My P4 genetrated in 2 months GUZ pick up my package.Interview in 3 months. Your SO can start to prepare stuff for interview, to print something out, such as telephone list, chat recorder, e-mails, develop photos and start to make note on them.It need long time and patience. Also need develop 2 -inch photo and 50X 50 foto for medicial exam and visa. Download the forms of P4 and start to practise fill in the forms. So it won't make you feel rush when you get p4.

It took me 2 months getting it from NVC to Beijing. I keep it as souvenir, for it came so late I already chose my agent by e-mail after it just be generated.

Chinese passport photo is 2 inches, either white or light blue color, most require white color though. No, for DCF visa, pay at GUZ Consulate on the interview day, she need take 380US$ or chinese yuan, make sure she takes enough loose change(small changes) if she pay chinese yuan, they won't give change. For K visa pays fee at the CITIC bank.

A different type of visa (like a K3 or CR1) won't help. I just got blue for a CR1 visa, an other lady got blue for her K3 visa in Sep.,Paula got blue for IR1 visa in June and another CFLer got blue last nov. for k1 visa, all due to the CCP membership. It seems no one finsished the additional process, what they did just call DOS and check the status. but till now didn't hear anybody overcome it though it wrote 2 -3 months on the blue slip.

I tried it just now,seems something wrong with it, I even cannot find the date my case send to GUZ, but i kept follow my case by that web in july and Aug. It worked well at that time. then you'd better call them and ask.
