  1. Rob, please clarify the official jargon..... Loaded-Opened-Pending-Eligible for Interview ??? Loaded- electronic file at GUZ Opened - paper petition logged in at GUZ Pending -P-3 out, name checks not complete Eligible for interview- name checks complete+ DS230+OF169 logged in by GUZ thats my guess Congratulations!! Rob I used to be the "Call Everyday Team". We received the same "ELIGIBLE FOR INTERVIEW" info on Nov. 7th 2006 and had our interview date on Nov. 9th. Keep on calling DOS and have your kitchen sink ready . Best wishes, Gino & Lulu Thanks Gino & Lulu, Really just 2 days later you knew your interview date, thats fast yep better call them everyday. Kitchen sink is all "squared away" When you sent in your P3, did you send it before you got the original one from GUZ? If so, did you send the EMS label which will be used for the P4? Just curious. Thx. -Zack
  2. Congrats!! You mention your status did not change, but did you have any touch's on the online status before receiving the P2? -Z
  3. Thanks for all your replies, that makes things more clear.
  4. Hi Everyone, I have a questions regarding the #2 (Address) item on I-129F. Can I give an PO Box address here? while in the G325A, I guess I cannot give the PO Box (which is alright, I can provide the current residential address). I want to receive all correspondence from USCIS at the PoBox, is that possible? Also, line #14, which asks for address where fiancee intends to live. I will give the residential address here for sure. I guess my concern is, can I give a PoBox address in line #2???? Thanks in advance. -Z
  5. ] Yes, you filed a month ahead of me, so I should be expecting it sometime this month unless things are very slow at CSC
  6. Yes, I did look at those statistics on the FAQ, those are very helpful. I agree, seems like it takes around 5 months or so on average. Do you know why the I-130 takes longer than the I-129F at the USCIS? Is there additional requirements on a I-130? security/name checks etc? Thanks, -Z
  7. Did anyone get there I-130 approved (P2) with P1 in August'06 ? I submitted the application in August'06 with a P1 date of 8/18/2006. I was expecting an average processing time of 4 months, what do you all think? I initially filed with TSC, but it got forwarded to CSC. When can I expect a P2? Thanks, -Z
  8. Hello, Can anyone tell me, in a CR1 application, which language does GZ use for the address to mail the P3 packet? I remember, the I-130 application having an entry for the name and address of the beneficiary in native language (chinese). Do they use this or just use the one in english? I ask because, according to my laopo, english address in china can get mis-placed. Thanks, -Z
  9. The government handles all the background checks in dealing with the visa process. Many people DREAM they could do their own It would have been so much quicker Michael, China has a lot of private investigators these days, they are becoming very popular of recent (past 4-5 years). They will do exactly what you are asking for, for a fee. But, they are not official, so it all depends upon how much you can trust them, since you are not so sure about your trust in your fiancee. I do not have any contacts to give you, but if you do some research you will find them out, they are a lot of them. Goodluck!
  10. You get a priority date upon approval. For a spouse it is the same as the received date but the priority date is not officially assigned until the petition is approved. They NOA2 will show the priority date. 239984[/snapback] Thanks for the promt reply! Sigh of relief!
  11. I got my NOA1 for the I-130 today in the mail from CSC, I had mailed it to TSC.The checks got cashed too. But, I have one question, on the NOA1 (I-797C), I do not have a priority date!!! Its empty??? Is that normal? -Z
  12. This might be considererd controvercial topic by many of you, but we have to start somewhere.... Keeping aside the fact that most of the couples who get the BLUE slip, have a chance to overcome. Why does the visa officer (VO) think of a refusal? If there is so much evidence that the couple were together, pics, emails, IMs, phone records etc. Why? Especially in the case where they are already married (IC1/K3), getting a BLUE slip is rediculous. Why? My feeling is, to control fraud cases. Mostly because of the age difference between the man and the women, right? I think MOST (not all) of the BLUE slips are because of this simple fact, the man is twice the age of the women and hence the chance for a potential fraud. Guys, I am in the same boat, before you vent your anger, think about it rationally. Peace! -Zack
  13. Thanks!! I assume the checks will be cashed before I get the NOA. Are they still transferring TSC cases to CSC? I live in Dallas, any feedback appreciated. -Zack
  14. Hello Everyone, I am a newbie. I filed the I-130 petition for my wife 10 days back. But, I have not received an NOA yet!!! How long before I get the NOA? The check has not been cashed yet. I filed with TSC and the do have the tracking receipt which confirms it was delivered. Do I need to be concerned? Thanks! -Zack
