Do we have to call to find out the interview date? Does anywhere in package 4 show the interview date? By the way, my husband just the P4, it seems that he has a hard time to find out the interview date. Could anyone give a hint? Thanks! p-4 is the interview letter,it will have the date on it for the interview. But where should I look at? on which paper? Since I don't have the orienginal document with me, I checked the embassy GuangZhou website, in their sample document, I don't the date showing anywhere either. Inside the P4 should be a letter letting you know that an interview has been scheduled. Look at the Bottom left corner There should be a time, date and Location.

it's safe, don't worry, as long as he buys a pre-paid sim when he arrives to China, the cost of a sim is probably $100 RMB and spend another $50RMB for phone mins... Sim card and talking mins can be purcahsed at the airport or local phone shops.

Actually you are taxed on foriegn income you declare if you decide to file as a US legal resident but you are not taxed on money you bring into the country. I hope he got to read the answer before taking his flight today .... thanks for everybody's response, i got the answer!!

my fiancee plans to bring about $10,000 USD, does she need to declare this and will there be some sort of tax or fees associated with this amount? what if we split the amount to carry, does it make a difference?

I see on VJ there are a number of us waiting to get into GUZ. My thinking is that we all have 'small packages" so we get in at the same time. But only twice a month are the schedules made. Why do people always have to call DOS since the schedule is done in GUZ? small ~ 5lb Everybody call DOS because DOS is the gateway to get information from GUZ, GUZ updates info on their computers, DOS will be able to see it as well, there is a chinese number you can call, this number will connect you to the Chinese call center, but this number requires a phone card so it's not free compared to DOS which is free..

My fiancee went to the 5th floor at abou 8:00, her interview started at late 10:00am. she was asked 4 questions. 1. How old am I 2. What is my occupation 3.How we met 4. How old was my fiancee when we met 5. What college i went too. the only evidence that was asked for was pictures, others was not asked. my fiancee also said that there was alot of blue given, due to lack of documents, and there was one white. i arrived to China on june 6th and the medical officials just used a thermal gun to scan our forehead, these officials only wore masked to cover there nose and mask, so i think they are starting to relax about the swine flu now.
