  1. Ok, I stopped by my tax office today, and I got my 03 and 05 w2's for my wife, i'll fax them on tuesday after the holiday to her. I also will make a copy of my passport visa with entry/exit dates stamped. My wife made an odd request, she wants the copies of the receipts for the rings I bought for our wedding. I guess the VO could ask for proof that I actually bought the rings? Whatever, i'm almost getting weary of all the , oops forgot we need this / that too. hehe.

  2. My wife is preparing for her interview June 5. I have sent her 03, 04, and 05 prepared taxes. I guess one or the other doesnt have a W-2 attached. Is it important that I send her W-2? I would think the prepared tax papers which were used to file for my taxes would be enough? Any help here would be appreciated. I am getting short on time and I will need to scramble if i'm going to get a copy of the W-2 she thinks I will need. Thanks all.

  3. Well , i sent the final package out friday with the rest of the stuff my wife insists we must have. I thought 04 and 05 taxes were enough, but she insisted she needed 03 taxes, so off they went. Also i sent some more current pay stubs and a copy of my drivers license, ssn, and the title for my car, plus some bill statements. to prove that i live somewhere. I sent another letter and a letter from my dad, signed by him stateing he was cool with her living with me at his house. I'm still nervous as hell though. I love this woman with all my heart and I know she feels the same, but what if someone forgets to make coffie for the vo that morning, or he didnt get any and he is in a really bad mood. doh what ifs will kill me. wish me luck, and i need a few prayers . thanks everyone.

  4. I think there is one thing that is not being said. In order for most familys to have 40 to 50k per year household income, it is often that both spouses are working and provideing. Just because a man does not make a uber amount of money a year dont mean his wife cant get a job and contribute for the family. I bet if a person barely earned over the poverty guideline, and say he has a SO who is unedjucated, barely earns anything in china, well, that would be a factor for me. Now if the SO had a degree and earned well in China, the VO would have to factor that in also. What say?

  5. Being that this new law is in effect to protect women from potential sexual/violent predators, I whole heartedly agree with it. On the other hand I feel for anyone who is going to be delayed by it. On the other/other hand. If your a past conivcted sex/violent criminal SHAME ON YOU. =) /peanut gallery

  6. Thanks so much you guys. I think I have everything we need ready for interview. I dont expect the need for any overcome blue papers. Being a realist and I always hope for the best, and prepare for the worse, I just cant think of anything else my wife will need to prepare for the interview. Short of the VO just not liking my wife, I cant see any reason, she and I love each other so much and I have waited 38 years to marry. You know how it is though, you go along smoothy then smack, you find something you didnt even know you needed. heh.

  7. Hey Mike, it makes me wonder. Will she be dissapointed by our displays of fireworks? Being that she comes from the country that invented them in the first place. Like it or not, her being with me will be the most important, hell if she wants real fire works, next spring when we have thunder over louisville will be the most impressive fire works show. In any event i'm sure we will travel to visit the family in china. That is all assuming she gets her visa and I know that is not set in stone at this time. Hope, prayers, trust in my wife, it all comes down to the VO and if they got laid that night, and pity the thought somebody forgets to run the coffee maker hehe.

  8. Hunter, do you remember this post?

OUCH 56 days and waiting for interview schedule. I know it can be any time now. or another month. This is becomming as much fun as that last 8 hour root canal I once sat through. Of course, thanks to God and good genetics, the dentist said I had the deepest roots she had ever seen. hehe.

Now you can forget about the root canal.  :cheering:

Well said RLS. hehe i'm tickled. Hey, I am not going to interview, I burned 7 / 10 days alloted for my vacation time, if I left to china it would be the end of my job. I think she will manage on her own. =) I trust her.

  9. Wow, I really opened up a pretty important topic here. I am prepareing my 03 tax stuff, and I will mail it to my wife next week. So she will have 1-134, 3 tax years, letter from my boss, signed and notorized affidavit declaring that I will accept full finantual responsibility of my wife and about 4 years of bank trasncripts. Thanks for the ( hotbed) of information.

  10. My chinese friend Xu is over at my house right now, and i was reading this post, he says do not worry, the fact that you file then return to china shows that you honor your promise to return anyway and that if you apply again in the future there should be no problem. This mans wife's mother and some other family are up here visiting and he seems to know exactly what he is talking about. good luck and sorry and my heart goes out about the hurricane damage and all the work you had to put back into regaining your lives.

  11. Any of you who had a K-3 visa interview. What did you do about proof of residency. For instance, I live with my dad, and I pay him rent for utilities and such. He is pretty old and needs me, and also the house is in my name when he dies. Should I write a letter stateing that I pay him rent and he agrees to let my wife life with me here? Perhaps send a phone bill or 2? The info being asked by GUZ is deeds/lease etc. I'm pretty confused what I should send my wife for her interview. Thanks guys, sorry for the flurry of question and I appreciate your advise.

  12. My wife will be having her interview for K-3 in June. I gave her my work letter stateing i have worked there for 10 years, plus a lot of check stubs, and 04 and 05 taxes. Do you all think she will need 03 taxes too? I was thinking with the letter saying i worked for 10 years and 2 years of taxes is enough, am i wrong? Thanks guys.
