There's a lot of water walking around in the form of 6.6 billion humans. I've got a big chunk of that myself! -

There is as much water today as there was 2 billion years ago and will be 2 billion years from now. Water is never actually "consumed". Oil, on the other hand, can never be replaced once consumed. Ethanol plants can be built where there's an adequate supply. -
All 3. Congratulations

Yeah - that's only 10 months from marriage to 10 year card. I'm with Lee here But is 2006 the correct year? I think it is because you're thinking about the I-751. DON'T DO IT

Read about Schengen agreement According to he Schengen agreement, there are no border controls in place. Meaning no one to even check your passport, except on intitial entry A list of Schengen agreement countries is at http://wikitravel.org/en/European_Union ok Randy, as a UK/UA passport holder all I can tell you this, last time I travelled from the UK to Greece, our passports where looked at in 4 different border crossings-Holland, France,Italy and Greece. we didn't need visas so no problem. Not sure that will work with a chinese passport. B) Try it and let us know It should work the same with a Chinese passport as it does for the UK passport, since neither are members of the Schengen agreement, except that UK passports do not need a visa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_treaty

In a quick nutshell - you file a W-7 application for the ITIN, include it with your return, and mail it to the Austin address. Check out Dan's links

I have no idea, Randy It says on the web site that EAD approval notice was sent but we did not even get the biometrics appointment date yet.... You need an InfoPass appt. Their records are screwed up, and you haven't even gotten started!

What if I file for an Extension to file? Will the EAD be processed in time to file and get the rebate? Perhaps I could file an ammended return. Some more news about the rebate If you do not have a SSN for her in time to file on April 15 (you MUST file either a return or a request for an extension by this date), then you are not eligible for the rebate - IF you file married filing jointly. You ARE eligible if you file married filing separately, or single. It's not clear what they will do if you then file the extension (or file an amended return) to include her SSN. Will you get the rebate? Don't know. BUT they WILL publish a worksheet with the 2008 1040 Instructions (that's next year) which will tell you if you are eligible for a 2008 tax credit. Keep an eye on the IRS memos.
-
The rebate will come as a check, separate from any refund, if you file with an SSN on April 15. If you file jointly and use a TIN for her, you are not eligible for a rebate. However, there will be a worksheet in the 1040 instructions which will determine your eligibility for a tax credit next year instead of the rebate check this year. I don't think they've announced the conditions for a next year tax credit as of yet.

but the question then boils down to Can he file his I-485 without waiting for the I-130 approval? If he checks box a, he is saying that it was already approved. Dan - do you know what the people on VJ did? Did they check box a? Or what? Even the lady on the phone said "P2 is not needed"
-
the question is how - can they just follow the directions as for a K-1? It seems like that's the only slot they would fit into, since they don't have an approved I-130. Oh - never mind! You're saying they can go through with the AOS, which would then get held up waiting for the original I-130 to be approved. That gets a little bit ugly there.
-
If she came on a K-3 visa, you need the P-2 for the K-3 (assuming it's treated like the K-1's). The I-130 is moot at this point. Nothing will come of it. Edit: Okay - I'm confused also. Just read the directions, which seem to say that you can adjust status off an approved I-130, or an approved I-129F, but it specifically says K-1. Maybe another K-3 will verify that he can adjust with the I-129F approval notice for K-3.
-
I'm confused - the biometric notices are mailed separately - NOT on the NOA1. To get the EAD approved she must have had a biometrics appt for that. 2 months is a reasonable time frame to receive the biometrics appt notice.
-
Hang in there, buddy! and enjoy your time together! Are you saying they approved your EAD without biometrics?
-
Just a bit confused, but isn't a 180 degree angle a straight line? take the starting position... standing straight upward... take the squating position... virtually 180 degrees of standing... so your right, the squat is a straight [angle] line from the standing. Yes - your knee bends through 180 degrees to the squatting position, but to keep smitty happy we might call that a 180 degree bend, instead of 180 degree angle http://redtailboa.net/forums/images/smilies/icon_scholar.gif

The wait for a child of an LPR is about 11 years. The wait for the child of an American citizen is about 5 years. (do a search for 'visa bulletin' on the DOS website to see the current figures) If you file NOW, and then become an American citizen, the 5 years is from the date of the original filing
-
Yes - the I-797 for your original I-129F application must be included - this is the NOA2 approval, not the NOA1 receipt. I don't think that any other documents from the I-129F application are requested, including divorce papers. From the I-485 instructions:
-
She needs to submit the I-693A with the I-485. It must be signed by the civil surgeon. It will simply state what shots she has had. The I-797 is the receipt for her application. The USCIS will send it (one for each application) to her. No divorce decree is needed for either the AP (I-131) or EAD (I-785) applications. Just given approximate dates. It is good for the entire year.

That's only available (the second one) if she has an SSN Am I understanding the stimulus package correctly, that BOTH people are excluded from the stimulus package if either of you have and ITIN. However I believe you will be able to use this as a tax credit on your 2008 taxes, due April 15, 2009.. from http://www.military.com/news/article/itin-...ial-rebate.html "Taxpayers with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) instead of [a Social Security number] are not eligible to receive a stimulus payment," reads a posting on the Internal Revenue Service's Web site. "Both people listed on a 'married filing jointly' return must have valid SSNs to qualify for the payment. "If only one has a valid SSN, neither can receive the payment," according to the IRS. A nasty little catch there But a little bit of good news from the IRS - and -
