  1. Found the ultimate device 3 years ago. It's called "Got Wife"..Not sold in local stores for any price.
  2. I brought 10 back myself from six trips, wife dang near brought her whole house back at poe. Never had a problem. The only item may have been a problem was cds. Jing had 4 more bamboo scrolls at poe didnt have a problem. I had the same warriors I think. Got them at the Xi'an site also. Had no problem. Dang things got busted up on the flight though.
  3. Lees right. We did this 3 months ago in DC. Passport was expired so Chinas a no go. Do check with a consulate yourself about when and where they travel. Know first hand that can change at any time. All we needed was her I-94 and her passport. Didn't even need the I-94 when we got there only her passport. Yes in person is required. No one day service on passports. Take a recent passport/visa style photo with you 4 would be better. If not the consulate will have a photo booth or an area inside they will do it for you at a cost. Never did find out if traveling officers could do this. Gave up real fast on that option. When the consulate has come here we were expected to have everything ready including photos, they did have a good supply of forms, we discovered the form on the website was not what they were expecting and had to redo it just before they saw her. Lee is right on spot. In our area DC advised not to go the traveling prc route. Only our area they said. As he said the standard form on the website may not be the one you need. Thats another reason we didn't do it. Do make sure you have the pre-paid return envelope. Forgot his id but another member in NC had to re-new his wifes passport within the last month. He went to DC also.
  4. I would guess same as any other visit. Have your passport, don't take a mobile or camera in. If you don't have a place to put it they will take it and give you a number. It's like going through airport security, but you don't take your shoes off. Search for American Citizen Hour or ACH. I'm pretty sure there's a write up stickied somewhere. True. Just don't expect answers to questions about your case. It's a general FAQ in .gov form.
  5. This is not true - the Chinese forms are necessary - the English are not needed. USCONGUZ seems unclear here also http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=207951 The medical people often have their own standards for the forms, but I don't think we've heard of the screeners at the consulate rejecting a properly filled out form before I think you mean the other way around. We did just the English DS-156 and left the Chinese version out. I asked about this at the consulate at ACH and the answer was if can do the English forms, then just do the English forms. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=283693 That's what I remembered, and initially posted. USCONGUZ, however, first posted that the forms should be done in Chinese, and then back-tracked when it was pointed out that an non-Chinese applicant may not speak Chinese. It seems to all be a matter of expediency in getting past the medical workers and pre-screeners at the consulate. Randy and All, If you have read my interview post, You would know about the two Forms. At the medical...the medical staff wanted the DS-156 filled out in Chinese, but I convinced them to take the DS-156 that were filled out in English only. At Ling's interview...when they (the consulate staff) opened the medical envelope and found only the DS-156 filled out in only English..they made Ling find me and they wanted the DS-156 filled out in Chinese with telegraphic codes. So we finally filled out the DS-156 in both English and Chinese,,and it would be advisable to fill them out both ways to save you the hassle of doing it during the interview...and I just went through the interview. And Randy...I said that the Chinese DS-156 forms were important and that they needed to be filled out because the consulate staff insisted they wanted the forms filled out in Chinese. Tom and Ling We didn't use the one on Shamian Island. The other one was closer to home. They did say both english and chinese would be needed and advised me to do this. I was in the waiting room. My wife was a doctor at the same hospital so a co-worker there came out and talked to me. Make sure you have both at interview time. We have seen some who only needed english others chinese. Maybe it depends who she sees that day. Realy don't know.

  7. By remaining silent you are giving your implied consent for your husband to continue his abuse towards your son. If you truly love your husband you will get him help. Quite possibly, his behavior is learned. You need to help him break the cycle, as he is only teaching your son that abusive behavior is acceptable. If your husband will not listen to your words or pleas for him to stop then you may need to act by finding a shelter for you and your son to live. Drastic action my be necessary for your husband to realize that he needs to get help for himself. Good luck and, if you decide to find shelter, there are members here who can help you. Agree..She metioned chinese so some one could not read it. The best women for that can be found right here. Maybe if she posts anymore it should be there.
  8. www.tigerdirect.com www.geeks.com Both had it for $89.95 Two weeks ago Ebay also but price not sure of. Shipping is extra best I know. Try your local cpu private owned stores. Sometimes price is better with no shipping charges. but they have TAX... and make sure you buy XP PRO... and not XP Home Yep sam wants his share. Urkidding ain't kidding pro would be better. Make sure its at least sp2. Sp3 if can find it. Better to have it included. Downloading sp's from update can mess your system up even running only xp. Even more on a mac.

  10. Rice hard to eat with chopsticks in China. Not so hard here since its mostly in chunks. 100's of resturants in China we did the same with rice or soup. Chops dont have enough horsepower drag and drop with rice fingers are your friend. That chinese spoon dont fit mouth right? No problem pick it up and drink it same as ur tea. Folks at the next table will follow your lead. Use the force many will follow

  12. Thank you all who have replied. I used a different software Windows DVD Maker. When I put in the first disc, the software rejected it as "not rewritable". But the second disc worked perfectly well. The original software which did not work was Windows Media Center. Thank you again for your suggestions! Vids and tunes not the same thing. Vids are movies. Music is audio. Windows is ok but like another posted use Nero or Jriver mediacenter. Stopped useing RW dvd's and RW cdr's. More trouble than they are worth. Have had mediacenter 5 years best software have found for the price.
  13. Anyone seen a cheap one way. Best found is rdu to can $874.00 Flychina found this rate, will be last flight, need cheap as can get. Anyone know a one way cheaper? Its a good price I think.
  14. This www mess gets me. Pick a site, pick a pic. Shes hot so what she wrote didnt matter at all. Forget the flags if you want to. I'm sorry but pick a site, find a hotty pic. What happens after that is 100% up to you. Easy to find a pic from any country. Much harder to know whos behind that pic. Yours or hers. Sorry sound so blunt. Just be sure what your getting into.
