  1. You may know otherwise, but in our experience there has been only one case where a white slip was issued, it was re-affirmed, and the petition sent back to GUZ, where it was approved. All this was because GUZ didn't "believe" that they would get married within 90 days. If the visa officer says you "don't have a valid relationship", then, by golly (and law), you don't have a valid relationship - UNTIL you file a new petition. Perhaps your efforts will help toward that end. Only the VO has had an opportunity to talk to your SO - the USCIS won't.
  2. You can change the contrast and/or color in Photoshop or other photo editing program .
  3. It's not clear what you are expecting - action is rarely taken on a petition returned like that.
  4. Click of 'Format', 'Font', and set the color to black (or change your ink cartridge) I tried this, and it doesn't work. The ink cartridge is brand new. For some reason, I can't get this to print out in any color but the blue color of the call history log Like our buddy Dave says in Tony's link, select the text you want to change first.

  6. I'm not sure what you said, but if you're worried because it says "Valid for Work Only with DHS Authorization", no it's not necessary to change it - she is still work authorized (no change there). But some employers prefer to see the SS card without that notation, so you may want to drop by and let them know.
  7. Everybody mentioned in this thread is European. European and Americans. The Europeans are the composers - we're the decomposers.

  9. That's what I thought ,too, but apparently a couple of people have gotten around that in a pinch. Best to be cautious.
  10. Yes - that is widely known. EMS will deliver to anywhere in China (actually to about 140 countries worldwide - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Express_mail), but GUZ will only mail to Guangdong. I think someone reported that they were able to get Mr. Yang to pick up the visa for them, and he was able to mail it.
  11. Got the green card in the mail today - she's in Chinatown picking up her tickets to Beijing. She'll be back in early December.
  12. About time !! http://i28.tinypic.com/2mruqv6.jpg Congratulations !! http://i1.tinypic.com/3ygwmdz.gif
  13. For ink-jets, replace your ink cartridge (color or black).
  14. I would pack some form of paper. I didn't know about this and when I was over there got caught with my pants down once. The paper was outside the toilet. Luckily noone else was in the restroom while I was in there. Yes - public restrooms will almost never have any toilet paper
  15. I usually pack individual paper towels (torn off a roll) for emergencies. Folded up, they fit into a pocket, or in my case, a camera bag. One or two dozen should keep you covered.
  16. EAD card is all that is needed for SS and all other things - K-3 allows multiple entries if you want to travel. You can get that in 2 to 3 months, with or without applying for AOS. 18. If going through customs in Canada, he may need a transit visa for Canada. Check also to make sure that US Immigration can handle his visa type at that location. Other than that, once he passes through customs, it's just as if he's taking a US domestic flight. But it may just be more complicated than it's worth.
  19. No paperwork need - your child would be an American citizen and could immediately get an American passport. But Jin is right - it would cost 2 airfares after the baby is born - only 1 before.
  20. Here's a post from someone who did it stateside http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=422714
  21. Yes - it verifies that you are eligible for marriage (single) and may be acquired at the consulate in China, or here in the states through the Dept of State. Others can provide better details than I have.
  22. That is the next thing on the list. We can file the application now, and then upgrade when/if Jiaying gets her citizenship. So 5 years from filing (if she goes that route). Thr only restriction is that he couldn't marry until she becomes a citizen.
  23. Shouldn't be a problem http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...&hl=chicago
