Yep you use the horn as much as any Shenzen taxi driver. Do you also shift into neutral and set the parking brake while waiting at traffic lights?
  2. Hi all! It's been awhile since I have posted here hope y'all been fine. So the wife and I own 3 spas (not bragging as they barely pay for themselves) we have just met a young lady we would like to employ. She has a ten year multiple entry B1/B2 visa. She is very near the end of her I-94 limit (six months) and must leave to avoid an overstay. 20 days or so. I read that you should file for an adjustment 45 days before your I-94 expires? Could we file with a local USCIS office while she stays here? She wouldn't have to return to China? Can she return to China enter the States again after a short time then we file for a H1 or whatever so she could legally work? I worry this might be visa fraud as the intent would be different than stated. How long might it take if we filed for H1 if she stayed in China during the process? What do you think would be the best way to go about this?
  3. Question: Is wife and child HK-Residents OR are they residents of the mainland and you married in HK? IF HK residents, consider filing 2 I-130 for CR-1 and CR-2 visas. If mainland residents and you wish visa interview to be in HK then K-visa is the only option. Question: Are you and prospective immigrants are residents of HK?? If so, forget K-visas and file 2 I-130 petitions DIRECTLY to the consulate in HK for CR-1 and CR-1 IMMIGRANT visas. DS-230 will be needed later for the visa interview. DS-230 is an immigrant visa application, NOT a petition, so the applicant (Immigrant, Beneficiary) signs it. G-325A, It will be in connection to "Other" and I-130 Relitive petition, or I-129F K-Visa petition. Later when adjusting status check Status as permanent resident. 2 sets of G-325As are involved with I-130 and I-129F, Petitioner (US citizen) signs theirs, and Beneficiary (Foreign citizen) signs theirs. Step children do not do a G-325A unless they are older than 14, if step child is older than 14 they sign their forms, if not then biological parent signs. You will need consent of other parent to get a visa for child. My wife and step daughter are both mainland residents and I am a USC. We do have consent of the other parent for the step daughter. So Don just to be clear no hurry on the DS-230? Will I need to send 4 G-325A for my wife with the I-130 and also 4 G-325A for the I-129F on myself? What of photos should I send photos of the Step Daughter with the G-325? Question 20 on the I-129F... City is HK and country is China?
  4. We were married in HK, we are filing for K-3 and K-4 from HK and I have some questions. DS-230 Part 1 Signature of applicant is me or my wife? G-325A page 5, bottom This form is subbitted in connection with an application for.....? Again signature of applicant is who? My wife has no middle name, is (N/A) okay same question for registration #? I-129F question 20 city is HK and Country is China? Do I need my step daughter to sign any forms? ie DS-230, G325A, I-130. Sorry so short I am at a net cafe and will check back when I reach Gongzhou. Thanks
  5. Very sorry to hear about this BH. My Wife and I now are just starting our paperwork for a K-3 from HK. I hope it goes better for us.
  6. Sorry I missed this before. Way to go you two! Now if you can only figure out how to work the washer. Mine; I have to pull the knob out and turn it clockwise to start it. Then push it back in again after I have it set. Don't forget the softener.
  7. That is the income shown on your w2 your taxable income the number is the income on which you were taxed so those are before taxes...hope that helps Great! I am in there like swim wear.

  9. Most any of the flower places that deliver to China will work. I want to warn you, I sent flowers to my sweetie, and after I sent a few, I started getting "Don't waste your money" .. Flowers all die, waste of money. Her Mom told her "Your American waste money on flowers again !" Finally I had to make her a deal that I could send flowers on anniversary. So, send flowers through whoever (I used www.flora2000.com ) but be prepared for the resistance Also, send them to their work. That is most value in my experience. Even though it was "a waste of money" all my wife colleagues commented on how nice a husband I was. Made my wife proud even if she didn't want to waste the money. I hear ya but I want my sweetie to know I will waste some money on her. I think I have read here better to send 11 and not 12. 11 is 1 and 1 yes?
  10. About 4 months ago I signed up for an United Mileage Plus Visa card and received 21000 bonus miles (30000 if you do it on the net). I get 1 mile for every dollar used on the card. I have used the card to pay for everything and stopped using cash. I pay it off when I get my statement. With the miles I got from my first trip and using the card I have enough for a free trip to see my sweetie! I am not going to use the trip just now as prices will go up latter in the summer. I like United non stop to HKG from ORD but bring snacks.
  11. Well it's about Valentines day again. Anyone have advise for delivery of flowers in China if one is in America?
  12. where are you located Mark. If someone is near you they can run their italk box over to your house and try it out. The problem with dsl internet access is you have to keep paying for the dsl landline anyway, so the benefit of the voip boxes (like italk) are diimished. I am pretty remote here Bro, back in where the hoot owls do unspeakable things to chickens! My phone bill has normaly been about $120 a month and I could forward my calls to work would be great. I guess I could try it for a month but, I will need to buy a router too.
  13. We use it too. My wife loves it. If your wife uses the phone a lot, this is a very good service as you have unlimited minutes for the monthly fee. And the free calls from China are a great bonus. Chalk up another happy ITalkBB user. Did the year package and got 2 months free. Unlimited calling to anywhere in the us, most of Europe and cell and land lines in China. Plus, callers in China have access to 3 US numbers - home, work and cell if you want, and only pay for a local call! Plus conference calling, call waiting and all the other crap thrown in. I've got cable modem internet and phone quality has never been a problem. Can't beat it with a stick!! My net is barely DSL, so I wonder what upload and download speeds are needed for good quality calls? I have asked the folks at italk and they don't seem to know. I can not get cable in my area.
  14. Wow some of em seemed more intrested in bickering than trying to help the woman out.
  15. I never really intended to rub her face in it. Chinese or American would not enjoy this type of treatment. However she did ask for me to send proof I was correct then she could trust what I say. All very good advise and I have taken care of this matter (as of now). I started this thread for information about HK and learned somthing maybe more important about face. Maybe this should be moved over to the culture area.
