My father in law has a Chery. I must say it's an OK car, but if you need to drive anywhere that may be even SLIGHTLY bumpy then prepare ot have your head hit the ceiling. It's a great car it just sucks when it comes to shocks.
who makes a chery?
Don't worry about it. It's a garbage car.
Chinese cars are still known as being extremely substandard quality -- akin to the Yugo once sold in the States about 13 years ago.
The only reason people in China even buy them is because they are dirt cheap.
Okay, I once hit a Yugo
, it wasn't pretty, the Yugo I mean

Chery is the brand. Thier most recent car is an A3, which i think is what my Baba has. It's on the 5th page of the site. I think their American counterpart is Chrysler
Oh so Chery is the make, like Chevy

Selling a car here called the "BS4" would be about as smart as GM selling the Nova (Spanish for "No go") in South America. I wonder how it's selling in England.
I didn't look at it that way before, but your right, thats funny

Cool, I wouldn't mind trying one of those pick ups or SUV's, the cars look very nice.

Amber, what is the general job market like there?
http://daily.greencine.com/archives/gump-apple.jpg
How about some of the largest sites for companies like Boeing and Lockheed Martin? Also a technology-focused military base.
Thanks Amber, I do have a bachelors degree in civil engineering with an environmental major, I wonder if I could use this in Alabama or in China for that matter.
I also have an Uncle in Dallas, Tx. I'll have to ask him to, in case you can't tell, I'm tired of being cold in the north.

Alabama, wow, I never would have thought of that. My friend who is marrying a Chinese woman is from LA (Lower Alabama) but is living in Florida.
Thanks for that suggestion. I'll look into it. I bet there's some good wilderness around there too.
Oh the wilderness is amazing. in the upper part of Huntsville is Monte Sano mountain. Not to mention you can move into Madison (the city right beside Huntsville) and the cost of living is cheaper, amazing people, and the neighborhoods are fantastic. Also there's Bob Jones High School which is my alma mater and definitely the better out of the schools in Huntsville or Madison.
I've attempted to move away from Huntsville many times but you jsut can beat the cost of living and the great enviroment here. If you need any info let me know.

Hello all, Thursday morning I will leave for my second trip to visit with my wife (amanda1969), her family, and also to travel. I am flying into Beijing from Newerk, and by chance member ShadeOgrey will be on this flight too. So I will get to meet him and my wife will meet up with his girlfriend at Beijing airport. They both will be waiting for us when we arrive.
From Beijing my wife & I will travel to Shanghai, and then fly to Harbin where she lives. We will have 3 weeks together and we will try to post often about our trip.
Richard
Have a good flight Richard, enjoy your time with Lao Po and do try to remember to post at least once to letr us know you have arrived
.
have fun

Sorry I can't answer your question, but I think it's great that you at least have a real reason, this you can work with.
Good luck Jimi, best wishes.
