you maynot have all the required papers when you file in china, it takes a lot of paperwork. I do have an attorney, but i feel i could have done it alone, but it is his job to try to get it right the 1st time... I met a lady in the airport in shanghai last year. she was trying to get her husband in the country. she was trying for 2 or 3 years... she was missing a divorce document... after 2 years? your situation is probably different of course, but still you must be accurate to avoid delays if you decide to go forward. the sooner you start the better. the k1 looks like it will take at least 9-12 months at best from start to finish. If you look on some of the attorney sites, they may have " startup kits".. which are simply guides to documents and inormation you will need. Good luck

I don't know if I'm a new guy anymore.... I joined yesterday and I have 2 blue thingies already. I come to this site every time I'm on-the internet now, which is a lot everyday... I can now see how some of the couples at the end of the process get thier numbers, in regards to the posts. I pray for all those ahead of finishing the process, for a good life in the future. I also pray for "us", the ones who are hopefully at least halfway through the process to the interview date... This site is great!! To have a group that are dealing with alot of the same emotions, is "awesome". Is it too early for me to say I love you guys??? It is a good place to vent. I know there are a lot of petitions, but better processing times would be very helpful.

I was 300 at the beginning of 2004, I'm down to 260.. I'm 6'4".. my SO tells me I need to lose the belly. She is perfect. at about 110(5"3). I have not been dieting, just watching the spuds and too much rice.. and no more beer. and I have cut out the very dangerous milk and cookies. Keep up the good work.... Hello Candlelovers, I know my SO will need a police report. she went to school in the US for a few years, will she need a police report from here or did the NVC check her background here in the USA? She has not received the P3 packet yet, doesn't it take a while to get the police report in China? Can anyone shed some light here. Thanks

I'm really concerned of the Dark down time I'm in now.... I got approved Feb 23.. by the NVC. I'm told that I might have 5-7 months before the interview date. I waiting for my fiancee to receive her P3 packet. Would I be right to think 5 month or is that wishful thinking?

Rick, That is great for you and your Wife. I can only dream of that day. We are waiting for the P3, we received our NVC approval feb 23, so I understand it may be about 6-7 months before She can get the visa. I know everyone here has a long time to wait. I will return to beijing in May for 2 weeks. We received NAV approval 2/23/05. Can anyone tell me how long we might have to wait for the P3 packet and then the Interview date? Please respond. I'm really losing it sometimes.... then when I calm down, 2 weeks are gone by... I was just thinking how difficult it is to wait so long... I just got approval from NVC, does anyone know if we will have a problem changing her address before they send out Packet 3. She has mved and her friend went to the US?
