  1. Nobody I think. Now some I-129F 2002 blackholers are in the AOS 2003 blackhole.... Same pit.. Different times...But wayyyy less stressful.... The babe is here !!! Life's good. Ain't it kids ?
  2. Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization
  3. How tall is YC? Which is taller, her, or the stack of papers? Are you sure they let "moving stacks of paperwork" enter the embassy? Best Wishes for an end to the wait. ----- Clifford ------- I'd be worried if I were you.. the consulate SPECIFIC instructions is that her stack of papers must be at least 5 feet high or her height, whichever is greater to be allowed in.... Let alone interview Anything else, you gotta file for the " Weakness of Evidence Submittal Waiver " , form I-888.... Section 23a of the INA handbook. Geeez, keep on top of those things will you ? Juuuust kidding...... !!
  4. I agree..... We're available..... Until Dec 21 and after Jan 3 until Jan 21..... we're going to China and then Honeymoon i( belately ) in Australia likely I suggest the FL gang meets in Orlando... Kinda halfway between west coast and east coast folks....
  5. Hi guys... After pushing it back for a few weeks and after a first try when the BCIS Washington computers were down due to the NE blackout , sending everybody home ( great timing Eric ! ) , Yuhui and I made an appointment in Miami to find out where the heck our AOS case was, ( filed 3/27 in KS ) and if they received our change of address sent in June. Believe it or not, the only way you can get answer down there, even for a mundane question is to make an appointment.. With their infopass online system ( more later on this ) So we did...Time slot 1.30 PM today..In my unfathomable naivete, I thought.... We ought to be able to talk to some life form around 1.30 PM right.. ? Heck we have an "appointment " We do show up...We get in... to a first line... then a second with a number... Bottom line... we saw a officer at about 3 PM...I stated my very simple enquiry.. She punched the A number in their WWII computer and says.. Yes , we have your case... transfered from KS Thanks Ma'am...that's 3 hrs well spent ( with travel from Ft Lauderdale ) ! I threw at her a few other questions, just for the hell of it and to get ROI on my Miami trip...then we went home.. we are told that yes the AOS is in Miami, but those folks stopped AOS processing from January to June....Restarted recently, but because we transfered the case from KS, it'll be some time ( 2 weeks or more, remember ?? ) My understanding of this is. Say you file in CA in March....Then transfer the case to FL say in June....You're not ending up in the March FL pile with the FL folks , but in June's ! Anyway, I don't really care as Yuhui is legit....I suppose we'll get a AOS interview in summer 04 or so.. we'll just renew AP and EAD in January, 3 months before they expire , that's what the officer suggested ) . After all, if you can travel or and work, and are legit.. who cares when the green stuff arrives.. from a practical life standpoint. Finally, I said.. Ma'am.. there has got to be a better way to enquire on a case than spending 3 hrs in this office...She said nope.. I said nope? She said yep.. You should have seen last year.. there were lines snaking around the building 3 rows deep..wow... I said... I feel much better now ! LOL Although they advertise their infopass system as " Don't stay in line ! " it sounds to me like this thing is for their convenience, not ours.. The so called appointment is to start standing in line at an alloted time ( read: crowd control..), NOT seeing an officer.. I should know better....So it's 2-3 Hrs now versus 6-7 last year... Improvement folks ! Good grief ! Note: For those dealing with MIAMI, DO renew your EAD there, but DO NOT renew the AP there. Miami no longer deals with AP.. they sub it to Kansas City, MO center.. No kidding But don't take her word for it. Doublke-check.... We know better, right ? By the way, I haven't heard a single word of English from the 60 or so folks in the waiting room.. Yuhui kinda stood out, not speaking spanish.. LOL PS: Did Mick get his own forum so he can talk to himself ? He's getting close.. I'm worried...
  6. AR-11 is the form to use. I'm too lazy to dig out my records, but I'm pretty sure it's AR-11 File it to BOTH Service Center AND local BCIS office... Certified mail. Those characters have a tendency to misplace important piece of info...
  7. There is no need to apologize. Can't expect everybody to be on the same timeline, now, can we ? Or even go by the same ( what ought to be ) FEDERAL service standard... ( read BCIS ) Knock'em dead ...
  8. A lawyer friend said the answer should always be "no". I asked her about youths leagues, etc. and she just said the answer should always be "no". I asked her about casual membership, and she said the answer should always be "no". We've discussed this topic before, and I know there are differing opinions on this subject. I might also add that my lawyer friend is from China and practices law within the Chinese community. I don't think it matters either way, unless you recently had lunch with Hu discussing changes to the constitution at a seaside resort Seriously. Actually a few months ago, I compared a form from INS... Forgot which one though.... The older version asked about communist /nazi blah-blah-blah.. The newer / updated form did not.
  9. Correct... Air-Whatever screwed up big time.. Contact the airline in writing... You'll have then a proof, next time you wish to enter the U.S. Mailing the card or a copy to BCIS wouldn't hurt either. Because as far as they are concerned, you never left the U.S, as no I-94 was returned ( U.S is the only country I know of that does not have EXIT passport control where you can later produce an EXIT passport stamp ( Except within the 15 European community countries that likewise have no exit formality between them, except for the Germans for some reasons.. Man, that Frankfurt airport is weird.. )
  10. Wow...that illicited a mental image I could have done without this morning. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/a0/tease.gif Now that you mention it... me too.....

  16. Don't count on it buster. My IS dept is working on the problem as we speak Glad to be back home Brian.. How's life in your time zone ?
  17. I really get a kick from that " WORLD SERIES" name. Who the hell plays it besides U.S teams ? I know we're the center of the world, but that's pushing it, eh ? I suppose I really ought to learn the game rules after 18 years... Went to one game 13 years ago..Buffalo NY vs .. blablahblah.. fell asleep midway...
