Jason - According to the consulate website, the police certificate is good for up to 1 year. Here is the direct quote from the consulate website: What's the period of validity for medical reports and notarial certificates? Notarial birth certificates, marriage certificates and divorce certificates have unlimited validity. Medical reports, notarial single certificates and police certificates are good for one year from the date of issuance.

Good news ! -- I also know have some idea of when to check for my NOA2. I have been looking at other timelines, and determined it is on average a 2.5 month wait.

In my opinion, even in the US $1100 is a lot of money (* then again, I am not rich *).

I am a System Engineer at a Virtual Product Development Software Company ( we make the software that boeing uses to make airplanes, ect).

I guess I have had a lot of luck. I have not seen nor heard of anything while visiting there that is remotely close to these stories.

I have not had a problem at all going to Shenzhen. In fact all very good experiences. My next trip I will arrive very late, but I don't expect any problems.

Today is my laundry day -- in fact every weekend I do my laundry. I have noticed about every month I lose one sock from a pair. I keep the other sock that does not get lost. So, they pile up over a couple months. I finally have to break down and get new socks, and give the old socks to charity... What I don't get is that I check, and double check the washer and dryer for clothing. Nothing but socks seem to disappear, and only one of the pair. There must be some kind of massive sock conspiracy !

I use global priority mail, but I have used regular mail in the past. All of the global priority mails have arrived, and only one regular mail has not been delivered yet. I only use english addressing, and it seems to work fine. Then again, Shenzhen is a large city, so that probably helps.

I also use broadvoice.com it is saving me a fortune, the best thing about it is that we plan to use it when she comes here to keep in touch with her family. I just love seeing my charges to china ($0.00) -- with a flat fee of $20.00 per month for the services. Fantastic service, voice quality, ect.

I would suggest that you cancel your credit cards -- You should not give the 3 digit secure code on the back of your credit card to anyone. With this, anyone can use your credit card to purchase things over the internet. Also giving out your credit card information could lead you down a road of stolen idenity, bankruptcy, and other things not good for your credit history. As to the relationship, only you can decide what needs to be done. But it certainly sounds like she does not care for you based on your itemized list. I think the best you can hope for is that the relationship is winding down.

I hope you are not trying to teach her to say "umberlla" no wonder she wants to say banana instead. Umbrella, um - brel - la. She could say that if she wanted!!! I think she is playing around, about like the way Ping says "Arkansalt." Opps I spelled umbrella wrong there. Would that be Englese ??

Here is another one, that is kind of funny that she says: Chicken = Kitchen.

Joanna has some funny ones too for example: Blanket = basket (as in shopping basket). Banana = umberlla click = clinic It is almost like we have our own little language to ourselves.
