mikem
OK our interview is 3/8 and was hoping to leave on 3/20..Is there a problem with airline tickets now?? I got an e-mail from China Eastern telling me no problem for the 20th..PS so if they do not give visa the next day and they EMS notice does that mean and I assume it does that she wil have to return to GZ make another 1000 mile trip to get it..Boy I will raise hell if that happens more expenses to for air tickets. robhon
I'm still trying to track down where this "EMS delivery of the visa" thing came from. I heard it on the CUC listserve. The only thing I've been able to find is a notice on the Beijing Consulate site saying they are starting up a new phone info system, as follows: --Announcement: On March 3, 2004, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and the four U.S. Consulates General in China will transition to a China-wide Visa Information Call Center that will provide visa-related information to visa applicants and schedule their non-immigrant interview appointments. Full text: http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/visa/ind...dex.html#impnts-- Again, this is just non-immigrant (and non-K visa, I think) stuff. But it's the only March 3rd thing I can find. So far I'm unable to confirm or deny any changes with the K-visas. Will keep looking. Link to comment
robhon
Funny. I reread my last post and got to the part about the "non-K visa" and thought... "Hm, is that right? A K-visa is a non-non-immigrant visa.... I guess that's right." Link to comment
mikem
Well I guess we should try and hear from someone who is on site and got this first hand rather then the rumor mill at 001.Mike Link to comment
