dnoblett
That's something new, do you have an online link for that $165 fee? The domestic violence info has to do with the Adam Walsh Act, and has been around for a few years. And Congrats on the approval, it is very rare for a DCF case to not get approved. Link to comment

Here you go, http://www.uscis.gov/immigrantfeeI think it is new, it said " Any individual who on or after February 1, 2013 receives an immigrant visa package from a United States consulate or embassy abroad (including Canada and Mexico) must pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee." The officer took my job offer letter for some reason and did not give it back, but it doesn't matter I think I can explain to my employer. Link to comment

Here are the timelines:11/09/2012 DCF @ GZ12/02/2013 P3 received12/05/2012 Forms filled and sent back01/27/2013 Received interview letter02/18/2013 Documents intake02/19/2013 Interview02/26/2013 Visa received Total time: 3 months and 17 days, or 109 days. Quick question, we only have to worry about the expiration date on the VISA, correct? I remember reading somewhere that we should leave before medical report or police record expires, but I cannot find that reference anymore. Link to comment
Yuanyang
Good News! I believe that the visa is valid for 6 months(?). Those that are certain will pounce in here. C'mon on home. Link to comment

Ya so as long as I come back within 6 months as shown on visa, I am fine?Just want to make sure there isn't an expiration date on police record or medical that I have to be worried about. We are planning to travel before we head back home. Link to comment
mrk
Hey, Just got back from trying to get her second vaccine shot. We were told that we have to leave before the body check expires, it is good for 6 months(July in our case), and the visa expires a month after(Aug). So if we leave in Aug, we would have to get the body check again. Just wanted to share this. Link to comment
