DMikeS4321
Lao gong (Mandarin) is lou5 gung1 in Cantonese. 老公 is the Chinese characters for either. All spoken languages in China use the same written language; written Chinese is one of the main unifiers in Chinese culture. Lao Po speaks Hakka, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently; despite the dramatic differences in the spoken word, the written characters are identical in each language. Link to comment
shaffej7070
As Dennis will attest, my lovely wife usually calls me "stud".Jim, would you please ask her to give lessons to Ping for me. I could use the good press. Lee ... I'm truly sorry but this is a name usually reserved for us younger guys. Man, I just spotted this post accidentally. I guess my eyes are going bad in my old age. How the heck did I get to be the old man on this forum? Must be bad press from the "concerned" younger boys. Old Timer + Viagra=Happy old STUD Link to comment

esun41
To each their own I guess. I think it's great that my wife calls me Lao Gong. Her friends also refer to me as "Lucy's Lao Gong" and that is not meant as disrespect. I'm not old... not a super stud and certainly don't use male enhancement medicine so I guess I'll just butt out!
