Matman
Well we did it! We where married at the marriage registry on the 14th. Just got back home today. Leaving her there was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I believe I have all the info gathered, start filling in the paper work tomorrow. I got her a computer and payed for internet service but had to leave before internet was set up. She has little computer experience. Is there anyone here on this site in HongKong or Shenzhen who would be willing to get together with her and help show her how to set up yahoo IM and how to send and receive email? Guess I better go stock up on cheetos! Mat Link to comment

RLS
Congratulations on your marriage and I absolutely know how you feel about leaving her behind. I have to agree with you that it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. But, as they tell us here, it will be worth the trip. Link to comment

Matman
Congrats Mat!!! How did the marriageability cert. go?193223[/snapback]No problems, I sent her a copy of my passport and divorce papers and she did the registration at the HonkKong marriage registry about three weeks before. That is all that is required. Link to comment
frank1538
Congratulations and best wishes. If I remember correctly, since you got married in Hong Kong, you'll be able to do K-3 through that consulate rather than GUZ- much faster. Link to comment

yuehan123
CONGRATULATIONS. You'll go to Hong Kong often, I suppose. One time I flew there as a "courier" r/t from LAX for $400. The drawback is you need to be free to go outbound on the day they choose and the seat is available. Link to comment
