Randy W
I have both the Pimsleur and the Behind the Wheel Mandarin - Pimsleur is a good conversational (how NOT to get picked up (the girl doesn't want to do ANYTHING with you) seems to be the main topic), while Behind the Wheel is a repeat-after-me vocabulary builder Link to comment
mercator
Pimsleur186833Ditto. Pimsleur is the best for audio. Rosetta is kind of interesting for the computer though. I highly recommend a bunch of different study methods, and even watching Chinese news on AZN or whereever to practice. I also decipher Chinese menus when I am at a restaurant. Those menus are handy - I may even take one with me to China for ordering. Link to comment
dstarsboy
Pimsleur186833Ditto. I have done Mandarin I and now I'm working on II and III. Pilmsleur is hands down the best memory technique for learning foreign languages. Warning though, expect to pay around 200 bucks per Section. Link to comment
