Thomas Promise
The holidays are coming as well as all the Bowl Games. This little appetizer really warms things up for you and your guests. I had to give the recipe to everyone after they tried it last year. 12 unpeeled medium-size fresh shrimp12 jalapeño peppers6 bacon slices, halved lengthwise Peel shrimp, and devein, if desired.Cut a slit in each jalapeño pepper; remove seeds and membranes. Carefully place one shrimp in cavity of each pepper. Wrap each pepper with 1 bacon piece, and secure with a wooden pick. Place in a jellyroll pan. Broil 5 1/2 inches from heat 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until bacon is cooked. Serve warm. Edited December 14, 2005 by Thomas Promise (see edit history) Link to comment

mercator
1 bag tortilla chips16 oz cheese (pref pepper jack, but to taste) grate cheese nuke for 45-75 seconds, or until melted. eat optionally, add olives, tomatoes, guacamole, etc. depending on how much time you have beyond that first couple of minutes, since each additional element adds 1-2 minutes onto the prep time.
