  1. Hi, I always thought that immigration only cares about the alien's criminal record and not the US Citizen's record. I was wrong. Something I didn't consider. Please help me based on your experience (anybody is welcome to give their view whatever it may be) as to my chances of being allowed to bring my fiancee to USA with a K-1 visa with the following criminal record: 5 counts of forgery (las vegas/1989) i was 17 5 counts of theft by deception (las vegas/1989) i was 17 5 counts of credit card fraud (las vegas/1989) i was 17 3 counts grand larceny (miami/1990) i was 18 1 count fraud (miami/1990) i was 18 1 count attempted extortion (miami/1990) i was 18 1 count credit-card fraud (class-a federal) (orlando/1991) i was 19 1 count false swearing in front of judge (orlando/1991) i was 19 1 count of possession of marijuana under 1 ounce (orlando/1991) i was 19 1 count of dwi (Atlantic City/1995) 1 count of attempted arson (as fugitive warrant out of Newark/1995) 1 count of destruction of private property (as fugitive warrant out of Newark/1995) 1 count possession of cocaine nyc/1996 1 count of possession of marijuana nyc/1997 1 count open container of alcohol nyc/1997 1 count of possession of knife 6 inches nyc/1997 1 count possession of nitrous oxide nyc/1998 1 count of possession of marijuana nyc/1998 1 count open container of alcohol nyc/1999 1 count of theft of service nyc/2000 1 count open container of alcohol nyc/2000 1 count of possession of marijuana nyc/2000 1 count possession of cocaine nyc/2001 1 count of possession of marijuana nyc/2001 I have not been arrested since August 2001. Retired on 9/11/01. -------------------- Do i have a shot? I know the record is thick , 28 pages printed out the last time but i did retire 14 years ago just about. Thanks in advance.
  2. I want to thank everyone in advance for your help. I do not know how anyone without the information from you fantastic people here can get through the Visa process!!!! These might be silly questions but I am just trying to make sure everything is in order. A little background real quick. Started talking to my lady in June of 2009. Have been to see her 3 times now. Oct of 09...national holiday, Feb of 2010......Chinese New Year, and Sept of 2010......mid autumn festival. I just got home a few days ago..haha. I am putting the package together and have these questions. 1. Should I include the receipts of places visited....Great wall, Tianamen square, some other simple places in Beijing. I have the ticket stubs of many places we visited in Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, and Xiamen. They are more ticket stubs than receipts. 2. I am listed on the hotels that we stayed at as 1 guest. Her name does not appear on anything. Possible problem? 2a. Should I include the bill of the hotel we stayed at with receipt of payment? 3. Did you include your itinerary with your boarding passes as proof of you actually going to China? now my last question....send to Lockbox in Dallas or the address? I want to have proof of sent. I will be sending everything Fed ex...not overnight but just the cheapest. Thanks everyone again for your help. I will be starting my time line here soon. It is enjoyable to read everyones story's and adventures. David
  3. I fell in love with a Chinese lady and am wading through all the forums and learning all I can about the long and relentless process of marrying someone from China. My biggest question right now is I have been convicted of growing marijuana 2 times in my past. That's 2 felonies. 14 years ago was the last time. Nothing since then but I did get a DUI. I also have one maybe two domestic violence convictions from the same time period. I know this sounds terrible and I hate to think how bad it looks. The thing is I am wondering if anyone has had any experience or info regarding getting a fiance visa with all this bad stuff on record? Any and all comments are welcome.
  4. I am not sure if I posted this in the right place but I am in desperate need of help. I am a convicted felon in the state of Indiana. It happened 6 years ago and it was not for any of the specific crimes listed on the I-129F form. Also, my fiancee already knows about it. Since I am a felon, will the USCIS automatically deny my petition? Are there any other felons on here that went through the Visa process? If there are, could you please help me. Please feel free to email regarding this matter. Thanks
