  1. The domestic ones were misdemeanor and I think there is only one. It was a case of defending myself from a disgruntled alcoholic ex-girlfriend. She was convicted on felony stalking after numerous acts to scare, threaten, and intimidate me.
  2. Still another good point...even though there is no chance of that happening. I am sure they would be wondering the same thing. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for all that info!!! Wow! A lot to digest. But that's what I wanted.
  4. She knows about my past mistakes and I wont be making any like those ever again.
  5. I would consider moving to China. I love it there for the most part. But I am not sure what I would do for work. I have a good job here and have been legit my earlier trouble. I also run a fastener kit business which sells primarily on eBay but has been steady for 8 years now. I import my fasteners directly from Taiwan so I have a little experience in that area. Thanks for your comments!
  6. Yeah there was another one or two that accomplished a visa to China that had a criminal record so it is doable or at least was but I don't remember the details. Laws do change though and new ones are added all the time. He will just have to give it a shot if his is serious and I take it that he is. I have just talked to an english teacher that was teaching english in China that was wanted on an arrest warrant in the US and he got a visa to go to China. Probably the reason that he went to China in the first place. He has been teaching there for about 5 years now. I think that he is ready to come home now. Larry I have been to China to visit her 3 times now and plan to meet again to celebrate Chinese New Year this February. I haven't been denied a visa yet, even when disclosing my past felony marijuana convictions. I did have to submit the court documents showing the outcome of the convictions. Short jail time and probation/fines (I was lucky).
  7. I fell in love with a Chinese lady and am wading through all the forums and learning all I can about the long and relentless process of marrying someone from China. My biggest question right now is I have been convicted of growing marijuana 2 times in my past. That's 2 felonies. 14 years ago was the last time. Nothing since then but I did get a DUI. I also have one maybe two domestic violence convictions from the same time period. I know this sounds terrible and I hate to think how bad it looks. The thing is I am wondering if anyone has had any experience or info regarding getting a fiance visa with all this bad stuff on record? Any and all comments are welcome.
