Hey all. We're here in the U.S. trying to pay our $165 fee, which I think is the last step before receiving a green card. The document we have from USCIS says that we will need my wife's A-number and Department of State (DOS) case I.D. number. It says "The DOS consular officer should have provided you a USCIS Immigrant Fee handout listing these numbers when you received your Immigrant Visa Packet at the U.S. consulate abroad." I remember getting a large packet from the consulate in Guangzhou which we were not meant to open because we were supposed to hand it to immigration upon arrival to the U.S... Once we arrived, either they kept everything or I've lost whatever document I was supposed to keep, but the issue is that I don't know her A-number or DOS Case I.D. number. On her CR-I visa sticker inside her passport, I see there is an I.V. case number beginning with the letters GUZ... is this the same as the DOS case I.D. number? If not, anyone know how I cant find this number? How about the A-number? Thank you! -

Hi All, In my I-797 (notice of approval for I-129F), There's an A# number above my then fiancee's name. Is this the Alien number? Hi, I am ready to email the I-864 to the National Visa Center. But, i still haven't received the Alien registration Number that is listed on the form. When and where do i receive this number?

Hi there, Is the A-number 8 or 9 digits? The number I found through USCIS is 8 digits but the I-864 shows 9 spaces. I think I have the right number? Is the case number the A-number? Best regards, Ben

Fortunately, got my visa in 2 days. Now i have new set of questions...hehehe...the never ending question... 1. My case number in the visa seems like had 2 additional numbers in the end, is it normal? 2. Since i have already SSN, what should i do after POE? 3. When to apply Adjustment of Status or Removal of Conditions? (confused, sorry if my question is wrong) 4. When to Change my Name? 5. Should i pay the Immigrant fee before flying to the US? Any additional Infos are very much appreciated... AGAIN, THANK YOU ALL!!!! FROM US THE GRAVES!!! -
Hi All, Wife and I went up to St. Paul for an InfoPass to get the I-551 stamp on her passport since the 10 year green card hasn't gone though and probably won't before we go over to China in Jan. 2014. Officer was a little surprised that we didn't have a receipt paper for the 751 we sent in, but only got the biometrics appointment letter. He just calmly said though, "Maybe it got lost in the mail." and went forward. Stamped the passport, but today, my wife sees that while her A# is A08...... the officer wrote A8..... leaving out the 0. How critical is this? I sort of thought that it might not be that critical but she's worrying. Any thoughts? Thanks and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Hello Everyone, I'm filling out the I-751 for my wife. Her 2 year Green Card is about to expire in a couple of months. What do I put where it saids Alien Registration Number (A-Number) and I assume where it saids Conditional Residence Expires on...is the Expiration Date of the Green Card? Thanks, Vinny and SuQing -

I couldn't remember when a K3 received the "A" number in the process. When would it have been assigned if these RFE's hadn't come?
