  1. Congratulations Mark and Ling, it definitely makes my day to hear the good news from all of you going thru the interview process. Clean, clean, clean!!!!! and don't forget to buy the new sheets.
  2. It's all so emotional, and I'm so happy for Carl & Bing. For those of you who didn't have the chance to give a contribution, your good wishes are appreciated as well, and just think we're a big family here, everything goes into one buck.
  3. Syl, good luck in your interview, I am particularly interested in your outcome as I understand you're the other gal around here. The only interview I had heard of is Jacob's (Kim's husband). Please do your best to find out what's going on at GZ, it will definitely affect all of us "in the waiting"..... and this poor people waiting for P4's will have a nervous collapse if they don't hear any news in this next days. Please let us know how it goes, hope to hear the best of news.
  4. I still can't understand why it seems to my bf so weird that I drink cold water instead of hot water in the middle of summer!!!!!
  5. I think it will be great if someone could attend the weekly meeting at GZ and ask what's the deal with the K visas at this moment. Mark would definitely be a candidate if it were not for the fact that he's so upset about the matter, I'm afraid something terrible might happen in the middle of it. I would give it one more week though.
  6. Congrats Michael and let's pray for NOA2 to be in the mail soon.
  7. If they work under US rules and China holidays, they must have regulatory vacation time. If it were me, I would take them together with the May holiday, plus add up the call center problem, and there's the delay. Does it makes sense? By the way, how many VO's are there in GZ?
  8. I've never dared say i don't believe in "traditional chinese medicine", but my guess is it's some type of allergy, I will ask my darling about your question.
  9. It's scary indeed, I had been thinking about this also, and what I'm afraid of is that someone mentioned recently that some of the forms used currently will expire soon, so the process can be delayed in the case the old forms are sent (unless we get someone to post the recent ones for us). Yesterday I received a copy of the NOA2 in the mail, even though my address was correct in the I-129F, VSC missed the last number in the apartment number, I was lucky that my mailman was nice enough to check my mailbox number. Anyway, I think I should ask my lawyer to give me the original she received, as by your posts I had seen it will later be needed for AOS. I would also wait for the case to get to GZ to update the address on it. Good luck.
  10. Jason, good luck for a speedy process, you should hear some news around the first week of July hopefully. I will post my timeline so that you and others can have an idea of how it is going.
  11. Yesterday I was wondering about it, Frank, today I'm very happy to hear the good news.
  12. I wonder how it went for Frank and Hong Li, hope he contact us soon and tell us the details.
  13. Thanks guys, now I got the whole picture. I hope to hear some good news in the next days about some of you receiving P-4's.
  14. You guys gave me a good laugh, you all are so wise, keep up the good work.
  15. I really don't know if this is appropriate at the time of a wedding, but definitely nice to give at any time: Scrabble and Domino games are always welcomed by my bf's relatives and friends, of course, if there's someone to explain it to the recipients.
  16. I called the NVC today and already received a GZ number, so at least I know that the case had arrived to NVC and it's in the pipeline. When do a person call the DOS, when the case is already sent to GZ?
  17. Clifford, it's really late for me as I am in Eastern time now, but I did not wanted to let this day pass without telling you how happy I am about the news received concerning your case. I now recall you were the first one to greet me at the candle and you had always been there for us even though you had been going thru the worst of nightmares. I hope Irina can appreciate everything that you had done for your future together, you had really set an example of persistency and love, and you deserve the best. I hope with all my heart that things will speed up for you now and that whoever handles your case from now on understand the urgency of making it up to you.
  18. I do want to be well informed of the whole process, and I still have a question concerning the sending of the case to GZ: once the NVC gives me a GZ# and the date the application was sent to GZ, how do i do about tracking the case with DHL? What information should I provide DHL to know the status and what's the site for DHL?
  19. Hey Kim, yes we got it, and I'm really excited. I don't blame you for not entering the internet on weekends, hope Jacob feels comfortable with his new life. Write soon and let me know how things are going.
  20. PJ, I haven't stepped to this phase yet, but for what I've read, it looks ok to me. The only question that pops to my head is: do you have to send the OF-169 in english and chinese as well?
  21. By the way, once I know the date my case was sent to GZ, how do I know how many boxes were sent to GZ and the tracking numbers?
  22. Thanks Carl, this is where hiring a lawyer starts to become a decision one regrets, as my lawyer mentioned something today about providing the affidavit of support and income tax returns for past 3 years before the case is sent to GZ. I feel I can get more reliable information from you guys here.
  23. Jon, I found out thru the USCIS website, it said that the notice had been sent on May 7th. I called my lawyer this morning and she said how uncertain is the process for each couple, as she sent a I-129F to Vermont on January and still had not been approved. Now I'm a bit confused about something, maybe one of our experts at the Candle can shed some light: do I need to provide the NVC with any other evidence before the case is sent to GZ? I've always thought that once the case is approved by Vermont and passes the NVC's screening, then it goes directly to GZ.
