  1. I've always got to talk to someone there, and they had been very helpful, I will recommend you to call early in the morning, and remember they're closed at noon on Wednesdays.
  2. You guys made my day!!!!! Yes indeed there's something to food in the chinese culture, mealtimes are sacred... In my case he loves to eat at the house, but I love cooking. My greatest achievement had been to make him eat pizza, pancakes and cuban food!!!!!!!!!
  3. I just think it's a matter of luck for some people, for example, just look at the couples who had filed their I-129F's thru Vermont lately. Anyway, I'm just praying for that package to get safely to its destination this time, as I was hoping to have a wedding before the end of this year ....
  4. I'm roman catholic, my bf is christian, we do respect our differences, and love the same God........ the only one. I remember last year in Shanghai he accompanied me to a very old catholic church, we both prayed for us to stay together for the rest of our lives, a precious moment indeed.
  5. Kim, thanks for your advice, I"ll definitely make sure that GZ will allow him to get inside the consulate for this, as I"ll make my dear catch a plane only to do this matter. I expect this time to be luckier, as I've given a safer mailing address.Reading the DS-230 carefully, I noticed this message at the botttom: "This form may be obtained free at consular offices of the United States of America"??????. I asked DOS about him picking up the P3 at Beijing, they said it can only be done at GZ. StillWaitingforK1, I got no idea on how things work in GZ, and understand why you may feel upset. If you look at the timelines here, you will see that the norm in most of the cases had been for the beneficiary to receive the P3 around 5 weeks after NVC sends the package to GZ. Anyway, it's finally on its way, and I wish a speedy process for you guys.
  6. Thanks Mark, and sorry for the inconvenience. After reading all posts from our friends here, I made a decision: we"ll wait around one more week for the new P3 sent by GZ to reach the new mailing address, if he doesn't receive it this time, I want him to go to GZ to get it, and I think it will be a good idea to fill it out there and just leave it at once. I don't want to lose any more time, time is precious around here, don't ya think?
  7. Thanks Mark, and plizzzzz don't lose them. Will you do us a favor? Can you compare them to the candle forms and tell us if there's any difference? Don mentioned there's a paragraph which is not included in the candle forms, I guess it should be in the Optional Form 169. I wonder if DS-230 and Optional Form 169 are two-sided forms. Will you be so kind to check this up for us? Can the beneficiary choose to send this forms in chinese only?
  8. Thank you all for your replies and assistance, I do feel very proud of belonging to this special group of people. My update: I called my lawyer and she suggested me not to send the forms from the candle as she understands that one or more of them come with a bar code referencing our case number. Have you guys seen this? Anyways I called DOS and they said GZ resent the P3 to the new mailing address on July 2 (same day I faxed them). I asked if the P3 could be picked up at the Beijing embassy, they said no, only at GZ. Next step will be to wait until the end of next week and if not received by then, I will call the extension numbers given by Mark and ask if a family member could go to the consulate for it. Thanks again and my prayers are with all of you waiting for P4's.
  9. Yes, I've tried calling twice, and I got the same treatment again, I was so frustrated. Do you think a family member can pick up the P3 at GZ? Will they allow him inside the consulate for this? Can I get the confirmation of the P3 being received and registered calling the DOS number? If I send the substitutes and they register it, does it means that they have accepted it as good? Maybe you don't have an answer for all these, but just wanted to share my thoughts and concerns as I've got so much good information from this site in the past.
  10. Thanks Don, I was hoping for you to get in here tonight to answer my questions. I'm trying not to get too upset about this matter, but it's almost impossible as I've been hearing about the interviews taking place far ahead in time. I keep hoping something good comes up and they start speeding up things again in GZ. Tonight I attempted to call GZ, explained to the operator my problem, will not hear the whole story and transferred me to an automated system directing me to call the visa call center, then called the center, but did not have the prepaid card or whatever it's needed.... so I decided to fax them. I will tell my dear to ask the post office, and will keep my fingers crossed that GZ gets compassionate and resend us the P3 soon. Anybody had sent the P3 forms provided by the candle????
  11. I confirmed with DOS that our P3 was sent on June 21st, as of July 1 we've got nothing yet!!! I e-mailed the consulate yesterday asking if it was ok to send them a copy of the 3 forms that i got from a friend (I was told by someone who recently received P3 that the forms look the same as the ones made available at the candle site), no answer yet. I called DOS again today, first they said it could have been sent to our agent (lawyer)????, but my lawyer said she never receives such forms, the visa specialist also said I can ask the consulate to resend the P3, they should do it at once, as it's just some forms, so I faxed them asking to change mailing address and resend P3. Has anybody recently had this case, is it ok to send the forms we already got from the candle? My friend told me the DS230 Part 1 , although expired, was the one they received in P3. Your ideas are much welcomed!!!! This is something I dreaded will happen.
  12. Good luck Yan, and yes, the joy of others is our joy also.
  13. Congratulations to you Nicola and Sam, it's so nice to hear the good news, and thank you for sharing the interview questions with all of us in the waiting. I wonder if all those 60 people were there for K visas interviews, and if the Consulate schedules all the interviews in the morning. BTW, I agree that the nice clothing really helps on causing a good first impression.
  14. Did you e-mailed the Consulate to check on the mailing address? You may want to check with the local post office, should not take so long. I wonder if it will be appropriate in a case like this to download the forms and send them to the consulate knowing that a P3 had been sent and not receiving it????
  15. Still, according to what I've seen in other members timelines, my best guess is that you're about to receive P3 very very soon, give it around 8 to 10 more days. Please let us know as soon as it happens, I'm following you closely.
  16. Congratulations Jason!! It's definitely a record time for NOA2, you must consider yourself very lucky, as the average time for Vermont is around 40 days. Now comes the name check through the NVC, which is taking only a few days, hopefully your honey will spend Christmas time with you.
  17. Good news indeed, guys, I'm sure the rest will get their P4's very soon too, just keep your spirits up and a good dosis of optimism.
  18. Welcome Tazsa, what a lovely little girl you have!!! My name is Maria, one of the few girls here at the Candle, I had been very lucky to find this site, it's the best place to get some good advice and support from a great group of people. We all share our good and not so good moments. It's indeed very hard to be apart from our loved ones, some days just seem unbearable, but we should keep strong, before you know, he"ll be home. In the meantime..... we're here for you!!!!!!
  19. It's funny that Hengli got so involved into telling the VO about your love story. I can imagine him thinking: "ok, ok, I got the picture, visa approved..." he, he.
  20. Jon, that's great, I think our package will get there around Monday, then give it around 4 more weeks and hopefully it will be registered by the consulate and P3 should be received around the third week of June. I feel blessed by the speed of our process so far, even though there's a bottleneck at GZ now, I feel all the interview dates will come out very soon. The vibrations around here are not so good lately, so many people anxiously waiting their loved ones, it's indeed a hard time for many of our friends, I hope something good happens before the time comes for us to await our P-4's.
  21. I entered the DHL site, chose"DHL online tracking", then I entered the "shipper's reference number" along with the date of the shipment and the destination, and it shows there are no results for this search. Should it say so as long as the shipment had not been received by GZ or is it that I might be doing something wrong? Should I enter the whole number starting with EXP?
  22. You people around here definitely make things better for us all, thanks so much!!!!
  23. Welcome to our special place, even though I have never met this people, they are all very supportive and kind. You"ll never regret spending your time with such great friends.
  24. se lang, I need your help, just find out today that our case was sent to GZ on May 18th, so now how do i find out the tracking number???? thanks a bunch.
