  1. Hi all, Just got off from work and open my mails. I found out I got the I-130 approval notice. I thought it could have taken 3 or 4 months at least. Ricky
  2. One question on my wife's police certificate. In the police certificate, it states she didn't commit any criminal in [her hukou only, instead of in the country of China]. Will that be a problem? Thanks, Ricky
  3. If she says she is going to travel, does she need to show some proofs like a flight ticket of a trip from travel agency? Thanks, Ricky
  4. Hi, Does anyone's spouse having a hard time to get a Chinese passport issued? My wife asked the police station, the place where people turn in their applications for passport, that they need to have United States' permission for my wife to enter before she could apply for passport. My wife told them that the passport will be used for immigration to US. I got confused about that because she needs to have a passport in order to attend the interview, and then a visa. So my question is when your spouses apply for their passport, what procedure and what stuff they brought in with them? Thank you very much. Ricky
  5. Hi, I received the NOA1 today in my mailbox. I then read the k3 guide at visajourney, which says once I receive NOA1, I can submit I-129F. It states that it needs to be included: Copy of I-130 Transfer Notice (indicating where your underlying I-130 petition was routed to after it was filed at the appropriate Chicago Lockbox). and Copy of the NOA1 from the I-130 The Copy of the NOA1 from the I-130 is the only paper I got today, I am not sure about the first one. Does anyone know? Thank you very much Ricky
  6. Oh no....I didn't put none over there....come on, they should be smart enough to figure that out right??? Ricky To cover all bases I'd suggest you prepare a letter asking that the petition be updated with the A# and your certificate of citizenship if it wasn't provided with your petition. Then when you get NOA1 you will have the case number and can send it to the service center as additional evidence. The other option is to wait to see if you receive an RFE, the only concern would be that if you didn't include your certificate of citizenship the USCIS could discover this and deny if the person reviewing it is having a bad day. That's great. The only thing is to close any hole in the process that could cause you heartache. While you would think they would just pull up your A# based on your passport number or certificate there have been too many cases where the USCIS refused to think and waste more time issuing an RFE than it took to find the information. A friend of mine had his I-129F package returned because no one signed the line marked "Signature of person preparing form, if other than above". Any person who has a 6th grade level of English will recognize this as a conditional statement and if no one signed it then the petitioner prepared the form. But not according to the USCIS, the petitioner had to write the word NONE in this space and send it back to them so they would process the petition. This cost him 2 months at the beginning of the process. Another had their I-129F returned because he didn't write the petitioner and beneficiaries name on the photos, I've met both people and there is absolutely no way a blind person would miss knowing who was the male and female in the photos. While it doesn't seem to make sense at times, the happy path usually involves bending over and kissing their collective @$$ to get through the process. Buy stock in mouthwash.
  7. I hope I won't be receiving an RFE...I did include a copy of my naturalization certification and a copy of my passport (all pages) as well. Thanks Ricky To cover all bases I'd suggest you prepare a letter asking that the petition be updated with the A# and your certificate of citizenship if it wasn't provided with your petition. Then when you get NOA1 you will have the case number and can send it to the service center as additional evidence. 8. Hi, I obtained my citizenship through naturalization, so I have an alien registration number. However, I forgot to put that on my I-130, instead I put none on that field. I think I made an mistake that I am supposed to put one in. How can I change that without any possible delays? Or do I even need to change it? I just sent my I-130 on Feb 21, so I am still waiting for NOA1. Thank you very much. Ricky
  9. I am pursuing cr1. When is the best time to obtain the police certificate? can you also tell me what a police certificate states in the certificate? Just want to make sure that the police station place issue the police certificate with all required information. Thanks a lot. Ricky
  10. Hi, First I would like to thanks everyone who answered my previous posts, they were very helpful. My wife is trying to get a police certificate soon. We want to know what does one contain and its translation. We want to make sure it contains/has the correct information and the correct translation. Does anyone have a sample of police certificate from China? Do we need to send in the original for NVC? Lastly, does it have 1 year before it is expired? Thank you very much. Ricky
  11. Actually, I am thinking of doing CR1, and since I-129F doesn't cost any money, I want to send it in as well.
  12. Hi, I married with my wife at Wuhan, Hubei, now I am filling I-129F in order to send it after I received NOA. On Question 18 - Am I suppose to treat fiance as spouse and explain the circumstance? On Question 20 - What should I put? Thank you very much. Ricky
  13. There is a problem since my wife has already sent me her signed G325A but she put I-129F on that line (but we are submitting I-130). Will that cause any issue/problem to USCIS? Or can I even correct it and then sign/inital next to the correction? Thanks a lot
  14. So on the "other", I put I-129F Petition is correct? Or should I put I-130 Petition since I am sending with I-130
  15. Hi, I looked at the example G-325A form for K1 visa on VJ, there is a box next to the Signature of Applicant box (Close to the bottom) that askes "This form is submitted in connection with an application for:," for the K1 example they put "Other: I129F Petition." I am wondering if it is the same case for me to put that for K3/Cr1 visa. Thank you very much. Ricky
  16. I have a question related to this topic also. If I am submitting 2006, 2007, & 2008 tax returns, but I made over the poverty line only on 2007 & 2008 and currently have a steady job. Do I still need a co-sponsor? Thank you very much. Ricky
  17. One more question, does the letter of employment need to be sealed in an envelope? Thank you.
  18. thank you for all your answers. they are very helpful.
  19. Hi, Can anyone please show me what have to be included in the letter of employment? Thank you very much. Ricky

  21. Hi to all, I have a question about sending in evidence. Let's say I missed out some evidences when I file I-130. Could I put those left out evidences when I file I-129F (if I am filing K3) and consulate can still get those evidences at the end? Thank you
  22. Hi, I am wondering how people usually do when they submit their pictures with their spouse...do pictures need to have date stamp? or write some description/comments about that picture? I want to do it right at the first time. Thank you very much. Ricky
  23. So it will still be fine if I don't submit now. I want to submit I-130 as soon as possible so in the mean time she could get her birth certificate and I could wait for her to mail it to me. Would that work? Thanks Ricky
  24. Hi, I am going to submit I-130 in order to start our k3/cr1 process very soon. However, I am still confusing about whether I need my wife's birth certificate. According to visajourney, I don't see anything that the beneficary's birth certificate is required. Or maybe I missed it somewhere. I just want to see you guys experience here. Thank you very much. Ricky
